NOT AGAIN PETER MOODY NOT LOOKING GOOD

Not only does the trainer have his leading jockey Luke Nolen struggling for form, but Peter Moody is facing another headache after one of his horses returned a positive sample for the banned substance ibuprofen.

Already one of three leading trainers involved in a Racing Victoria investigation into elevated levels of cobalt, Moody has been called in front of Racing New South Wales stewards next month to explain the latest positive test.

Ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that masks pain, was detected from pre-race blood tests conducted on the Moody-trained House Of Hingis before two of the filly’s runs in November.

In 2013 trainer Chris Waller faced the Racing NSW stewards when four of his horses tested positive for ibuprofen but he was cleared after the investigation discovered the source of the drug was contaminated feed.

People in the UK are now saying Frankel is the best, none of this was in him.

Questions and clouds now hang over Black Caviar’s 25 race unbeaten record.

Jezu Christo......what in the hell is going to come out.
this is just SO detrimental to oz racing.
I am not being naïve but please, mr. stewards, stop digging so deep...you'll shoot yourself in the foot.
every top trainer in aust. will be no more....I know, I know but with the sophisticated avenues they have now picking up EVERY single thing in blood/urine samples, is it such a good thing?
not that I am condoning "cheating" but its just so frigging competitive out there now trainers are almost required to stretch the limits.
gone are the days of a bit of caffeine.
just remember that some trainers, worldwide will always be one step ahead of the scientists.
by the way, that recorded conversation of American trainers is abhorrent...give them life, no regard whatever to the welfare of the horses.

Anyone with a keen eye - this is just something we have been sitting back and waiting for. It was going to come out not sooner but later.

sorry, its a bit hard to put into words what I actually meant..fuelled by a few too many beers. lets look at this scenario:
you/us: gee it was a good run last start, got a barrier..what do you reckon?
trainer: yeah, things seem to be falling into place but I may take out a bit of insurance.
    you/us: what do you mean?
trainer: forget it...see you at the stall on Saturday..come a bit early.

I honestly don't know how I would react under that situation. how would you react?

Completely and utterly inconsistent. Why is this thread still here and the Linda Britton (drug cheat) ones gone ?

This is not detrimental to racing at all. If it is prove it!
