Just a falcon my only bet for day at price and u wonder y I get pissed off at the place another top class display of how not to ride a horse .
Just for you Mailman the stewards report, I was on it as well, seemed like it wasn't even going to get going but when it did  it came home well, next start my friend.

JUST A FALCON (Renee Forrest) – When questioned in relation to the gelding losing contact
with the remainder of the field from the 800m, rider advised that the gelding was left flat footed
when the pace quickened from approaching the 800m necessitating her to ride it vigorously to
make up the lost ground. She further explained that the gelding had been able to make ground
when improving along the rail in the straight. When asked to explain why she had not ridden
the gelding along earlier to make ground, rider explained that she was conscious that putting
pressure on her mount earlier than she did would have impacted its ability to finish the race off
and this was consistent with its general racing pattern. Trainer Mr R. O’Brien agreed with the
remarks of the rider and advised that the gelding was racing today off a six day break between
starts and it was now his intention to race the gelding again in a fortnight over a similar distance
    in the metropolitan area.

You should have tipped half the card the way you slam every fav  that gets beat in WA or do you just pick a horse out of each race to slam and to bag WA racing?? Should have been you best day for a long time. there is always next week Mailman.

Just betting else were so don't get time till late in day the bad rides are far less and its easyer to make money. As for backing favs I back the best horse in race if I think they are value fav means nothing just last week I had 2 bets in perth 1 bled the other sat 4 wide and pulled up with CA.All in one day today I had 1 bet and that's what u cop forgive me for feeling a tad bend over but that's just seems to be the case with the joint at times. If u have a look at the sectional time u will see horse should have gone close to winning given were it finished. To come up with those type of bets takes hard work and long hours maybe that's y I get a tad pissed off when week in week out I am on the end of that kind of stuff. If that makes me seem bitter so be it.Its average and not up to metro riding in my view.Anyone that can defend that type of riding is a lick ass or knows nothing about the game.
  • mailman505mailman505    497 posts
And while we are at it anyone that does not pull that stable in with the fav in the last with what happens on betfair is not doing their job.And no I did not back it I am making the point u can shoot holes in the place all the time and no one in charge over their seems to want to clean it up.I only had to watch race 2 to confirm what I mean they let that kid into day to let her get her first metro sat winner go back and watch reply how she justt slides over no one kicked up,Gee I wonder y maybe because everyone knows family.Blind freddy can see that.If it had been pike they would have shut that gap in 2 secs and he would have been 3 deep no cover.Makes u want to get a sick bag out and have spew.

Dungy the thing I don't get is y do some of these good trainers keep putting these riders on do they not want to win money does my head in is it just perth is it to small a place. So many times u do your form and u go this can win then u look at jockey and u cant bet or load up like u want to.I ask the question do some of these trainers run a business do they have to make money.Because were I a sitting they repeat the same mistakes week in week out.Do owners over their just cop it and pay up or ask questions.

Classic stuff by the stewards yesterday:
J Whiting gets 13 days suspension.
Reason given for the rather light suspension:
His relatively good record in that he had been suspended in May 2014 and prior to then it had been 2012 sometime.
SORRY LADS BUT THATS NOT A GOOD DETERRENT----- HE LITERALLY JUST CAME BACK FROM SUSPENSION!!!!!
    LAST MONTH!!!!

some do MM, but they get labelled as liars, non payers, hard to manage, 5hit stirrers and constant interferrers...and most of the trainers listen to each others bullshit.

but thankfully there are exceptions to the masses.......or i wouldn't be able to get my horses trained!!!!

To the connections from kal with just a falcon I hope its a long drive back to kal for u might teach u not to put useless jockeys on that cant ride and save us punters from having to watch week in week out displays of riding like that just not up to metro races useless.

I respect your opinion Mailman and I will admit that I didn't bet on the horse so it's a lot easier for me to be making a comment like this, but I still think you are being very harsh on Renee Forrest.

Renee knows the Horse better than anyone, as 3 of the horses 4 wins, have been with her in the saddle. And it's always a risk when you put a new Jockey on board when the horse is having it's first start in the City.

Lucciola, ran the final 600m 35.12, which was the 2nd fastest sectional of the race. Yet that was actually more than half a second slower than J.A.F's sectional which was just a shade over 34.50.

Yes indeed, the Horse did get left flat footed when the pace quickened, but I still think the horse ran a much better race than you are giving the jockey Credit for.

JUST A FALCON (Renee Forrest) – When questioned in relation to the gelding losing contact with the remainder of the field from the 800m, rider advised that the gelding was left flat footed when the pace quickened from approaching the 800m necessitating her to ride it vigorously to make up the lost ground. All fair points raff and u may well be right but for mine it just happens far to much and its the reason y i have cut back my betting in perth u don't know what u are going to get from one week to next.I guess that's just comes with the place the bigger prize money places attract the better riders its just a simple fact of life i guess that's y u get the prices u do some times the rider discount. Its like that horse in race 2 yesterday i thought i was the best bet i have seen in perth for weeks. Then i saw jockey and just could not bet up i have been burned to many times by app but well done to her she rode it well.

Why are you guys quoting the stewards report? Who cares what those incompetent blokes think. I watched Renaes ride 10 times today it wasn't good enough. It could be a good thing because i won't back anything she rides again. Pikes ride on Dark Delight from the barrier was a beauty even though i lost a fortune on the race.

I miss the good old days where Harvey and Pike used to make them all look silly.

Just on Elite Belle think she's lucky that the quality is quite ordinary in perth atm. Shes a nice horse but certainly not a star.

Elite Belle spell then get ready for a tilt at the spring carnival shes worth a motza now some black type in group races in Melbourne and she will be worth loads more and she does not have to win

Shes a very game horse who with luck in running would have won a few more

Shes the star of WA right now along with Rebel King

I don't rabbit on about horses but if Rebel King stays sound he's the next best thing to come out of WA and no I don't own him did before I sold out :((

Would love to see Carey come back out of retirement and let me know how good he thinks he is

Elite Belle's worth is immaterial. She is owned by a breeder who retains all his black type mares to send to whatever stallions he chooses, including some that he now has a part ownership in. What will ultimately see her go to the breeding barn is the calendar, and if Bob thinks he can do no more with her in real terms, then he won't waste another season. Young black type mares are like gold, he won't over extend her past the 2014-15 season.

Rebel King is an interesting horse. A lot rides on his back, mostly the future success of his sire who is at the moment struggling. He is running around at a time when none of the quality 2yo's are racing, and he faces those horses returning and those horses that have taken a bit of time to mature and will debut as 3yo's. So whilst it is good to see him dominant over these last two months, it's only a 2yo Winter in Perth, nothing more.
