It dumbfounds me that a few of the raiders don't stay for this race - Americain has in the past and won it.

Would be easy pickings (to atleast pay for the trip) for the likes of Simenon, Royal Empire, Brown Panther etc.

2013 Zipping Classic - What the jockeys said

    Brad Waters - 16/11/2013

    Developing
galloper Sertorius scored his second feature win in three starts with
his success in Saturday's Group II Zipping Classic (2400m) at Caulfield.

Ryan Maloney guided Sertorius to a two-length win over Epingle while Queenstown was a long neck further away in third.

Below is what the jockeys had to say about their mounts in the Zipping Classic.

    PlacingRunner JockeyComment1stSERTORIUS Ryan Maloney I
had to kick up a bit early to miss that interference but it made a big
difference. When I asked him for an effort at the turn he went bang.
2ndEPINGLE Brad Rawiller She went outstanding. I couldn't have been any happier with the run she had but she was beaten by a top in-form horse.3rdQUEENSTOWN Nash Rawiller She went terrific.4thMIDSUMMER SUN Damien Oliver He ran okay.5thDETOX Ben Melham Ran super. Ran out of her skin.6thPRECEDENCE Craig Williams He
was really good. We got knocked down passing the winning post the first
time, which cost him a really good position. The winner had all the
right runs on the inside and he had to do all the work around them. The
way the track's playing today, that might have been detrimental.
7thRANSOMED Craig Newitt He was off the bit a long, long way out and he was very dour. I was flat from the 1000.8thKAZANLUK Kerrin McEvoy Just plain.9thMISS ZENELLAMichael Rodd No comment.10thWHAT'S IN A NAME Dwayne Dunn Maybe another day.
