All systems go for Moet
Jay Rooney, The West Australian February 4, 2013, 7:35 am
Trainer Adam Durrant is confident of a big return by Mr Moet when the Railway Stakes winner makes his interstate debut in Saturday's Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.
Mr Moet arrived in Melbourne on Friday to prepare for a tilt at the Group 1 $1 million Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington on March 9.
Durrant reported Mr Moet had travelled well and had thrived at Jason Warren's Mornington stables. Mr Moet earned an interstate trip with a breakout summer campaign at Ascot, highlighted by his upset win in the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) first-up in November.
The five-year-old showed the big win was no fluke, running second to Luckygray in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m), winning the CB Cox Stakes (2200m) and running second to Talent Show with the 59kg topweight in the Perth Cup (2400m).
Jockey Daniel Staeck rode Mr Moet in all four races and is booked for the ride in the Orr Stakes. He will head to Melbourne today and ride Mr Moet in a track gallop at Mornington tomorrow.
Durrant said Mr Moet was on track to prove his credentials against strong opposition in the Orr.
"We feel he's going better than he was before the Railway," Durrant said. "He's nice and bright and doing everything right.
"We've tried to keep him fresh and keep the sprint in his legs. He'll have a gallop on Tuesday and won't do much between then and Saturday.
"The 1400 on the Caulfield track might be a fraction short, but he'll give it a big shake."
The likes of star three-year-old All Too Hard, Mawingo, Wall Street and King Mufhasa are set to join Mr Moet in the Orr.
Trainer Simon Miller has confirmed Power Princess will head to the Group 1 KrisFlyer International Sprint (1200m) at Kranji on May 19.
Power Princess is likely to return to Adelaide for the RN Irwin Stakes (1100m) and Group 1 Sportingbet Classic (1200m) on April 13 and 27 before heading to Singapore.
She ran third to Black Caviar in last year's Sportingbet Classic. She won the AJ Scahill Stakes (1400m) and ran second to Barakey in the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot in the summer.
Dongara trainer Noel Pateman has scrapped plans to set Full Steam Ahead for Saturday week's Detonator Stakes (1800m) at Ascot.
Full Steam Ahead was scratched from a 1400m race at Ascot last Saturday because of a heatwave in the Mid West. He will be nominated for a 1400m race for 68-plus rated gallopers at Ascot on Saturday.

it's smart, but no in the same class as Power P, if she settles in she will take some beating
Good luck to all on there travels
SENSATIONAL
And I plead guilty to suggesting he should have been gelded
and now we wait on barakey..... :-?
??????
Essentially last 3 in the run ran first 3... on a leader biased track. And you have le remas beaten at G1 level by 2lenghts. Doesn't really make for a good form race.
How far did he need to win by for you consider it as good a run as it looked?
Maybe beat the 30mil colt by 5 lengths.
