Ascot R1. Facebook.com/perthracing Handicap Preview - Chris Nelson

Despite an average trial I'm sticking with a horse that owes a few punters a quid or two. Kimberly Cowboy has run some good races in his past 5 starts but hasn't always had the favours - tomorrow in weaker company we'll give him one final chance.

The formline out of Union City's race are solid and despite only saluting 2 of 18 he looks to be in the finish once again.

Quadroplex was a decent 3yo and came home well enough when resuming at Belmont with a placing.

2. KIMBERLEY COWBOY - 3. UNION CITY - 7. QUADROPLEX

Going for value with Lighthouse Dancing, out of Hurricane Sky, who ran two good placings behind decent horses at his previous campaign albeit over further. Despite only contributing 10 starts at the age of 6, he has proven he can run a race first up and this might be his campaign.

Sass'n'Ping has the foot on the till and deserves this, however his best form is at Belmont and Harrison will be relying on the weaker field that at his previous start.

Rock and Riff is another who could show their best cards to date and features the always-dangerous Brown/Taylor combo.

    7. LIGHTHOUSE DANCING - 5. SASS'N'PING - 3. HAY STREET HERO

Ascot R3. Westspeed 3yo Handicap Preview - Chris Nelson

There's not much to work with here so we'll stick with the race track experience of Born To Be Wild and Unleashed Brumby. Looking for Unleashed Brumby to turn the tables after three minor placings in a row and should take up the running. Colin Webster will again be making hay and his gelding's previous win was full of merit depsite narrow.

It's A Bit Shady features in this through good trial form and The Fish has kept the ride. Stan Bates knows when they're ready and it will be worth following the betting.

    3. UNLEASHED BRUMBY - 1. BORN TO BE WILD - 11. IT'S A BIT SHADY

The Vernon Brockman trained First Game broke the maiden and then performed very admirably when finishing 5th to the talent Passion Cantana. Drawn well and back to a more even class, she looks a good bet.

Guessing Game has proven ability and Paul Harvey takes back the ride from the Wizard. She's placed at the track and can be in the finish again tomorrow.

Little Billie Rose finished behind First Game last start and despite a break could be competitive.

    2. FIRST GAME - 3. GUESSING GAME - 7. LITTLE BILLIE ROSE

Good race here. Empress of Ireland for Durrant looks poised at her third start back. After narrowly missing last start, she'll have nothing on her back with the claim.

Tiffany Yellow had a great preparation last start and has proven herself first up. She's a talented mare and this looks like a nice race to return.

Western Fever will need to deal with the 58kg impost but is racing well.

    9. EMPRESS OF IRELAND - 3. TIFFANY YELLOW(NZ) - 2. WESTERN FEVER

Ascot R6. Melbourne Cup Day At Ascot Handicap Preview - Chris Nelson

Foxy Commander has a great record and trialled sensationaly at Belmont recently. She'll be hard to beat for the combination of Simon Miller and Patrick Carbery.

Travinator form can't be argued with and Palmdale went with-in two lengths of him earlier this year at the same venue. We'll look to the suitable class and good gate to assist in racking up his first win at the track.

The Pontiff takes over on Terkel and he could continue to improve.

    7. FOXY COMMANDER - 2. PALMDALE - 4. TERKEL

Ascot R7. Super Saturday At Ascot November 24th Handicap Preview - Chris Nelson

Troy Turner guided the former-Sydney sider Rosini to a 2L 5th behind Helenus Miss last start. She's fairly talented and that experienced coupled with a good second up record might make the difference.

Zedspiel returns after just falling short last Wednesday. His maiden win at Northam was solid and this doesn't look to be a much tougher assignment.

Sheer Logic has made the trip from Kalgoorlie where he ran a couple of races full of merit. Despite failing at Northam this is a weak field.

    8. ROSINI - 7. ZEDSPIEL - 6. SHEER LOGIC

Ascot R8. Pr 2012/13 Membership Packages Handicap Preview - Chris Nelson

He's been touted as a superstar, tipped as a good thing on a Saturday, tried over a distance and overall proven he's a enigmatic galloper. Regardless he's shown glimpses of what is a good horse and despite being 7 runs in, he's capable of beating these.

Kersley's galloper Global Flirt who has been low-level flying of late in better grade. He gets his chance to add another win to the campaign.

Amber's Kingdom will have to overcome a wide draw but does have Paul Harvey to assist.

    6. THE WEAPON - 1. ASK ME NICELY(NZ) - 3. AMBERS KINGDOM

Moment of Change was good odds in that opener - cant believe it was the roughest horse in the race, its first up run was quite good i thought

R2 Lighthouse Dancing (stole my thunder Chris). Hope we are correct.

R5 Ningaloo Blitz to run a big race fresh. Raced without luck in some strong races last campaign.

Just me or would anyone else like to have seen a bit more vigor from the boy on the runner up over the last 50m in the second race? Seemed to drop his hands and went down a nostrell.

Very generous odds in general which overcame the disappointment of the second race.

Not a bad run for a 22-1 shot

couldnt agree more, loomed up like it was going to go whooshka yet it looked like he hesitated and was a little shy... very similar to the first race with s.parnham on the eventual winner he also lacked vigour about 100 out, he must have known he had the leader/stablemate/second placegetter comfortably covered, had it of got beaten you'd be asking questions for sure

good support for terkel, came from $3.2 - $1.90 on sportsbet, dont know what happened on track, but it won accordingly!

Good to see bobby getting something out of the ring with Terkel. God knows hes been patient enough with his Salavat stock deserves to start getting something in.

Terkel just ran up to his performance at Northam..... this is a very smart horse. Thanks for the $3.20..... was hoping for a bit more after Hooper tipped Foxy Commander as a one out in his quaddie this morning..... he obviously didn't see Terkel's first up run.

terkel's first run was huge, even if no improvement from that, it probably should have been red figures today.

Wes tipped Foxy Commander as well - dont think they actually do form, just listen to certain stable gossip.

Anyway all good for the proper punters

Had a small bet Burin purely because of the trainer. Didn't like the 1200m up to 1800m in just 10 days but that doesn't seem to matter any more.

Yep, the Warwicks certainly have it worked out. The Weapon did stuff all i noticed as well in the same race

Only bet was Terkel, nearly fell over when saw the price, backed it earlier in the day on tote and thought that 4.50 would have been around the mark, crunched into 2.30
