The fact the horse was 3 and 4 wide without cover the whole trip didn't effect his chances??

Love your passion Mailman but you seriously come across as a gambling victim. Give it away son.

Mate with respect u know nothing about me and trust me i am doing ok that said u are missing point.Horse should never have been allowed to get that far should have been taken out its just a poor rule thats not inforced enough thats my view.I will stick up for the punter always u just want a fair playing field not unfairness i had a winning day does not make me change my mind if i see it as unfair for punter i will say. thats what this forum is for.

i have not had a bet for yonks, but there is NO doubt that horse should have come out.
so nobody can accuse me of talking through my 'kick'

I'm glad it stayed in as it helped the quartet divvy \:D/
Of course that doesn't alter the fact that it should've been withdrawn. If it were a 200-1 shot, they'd have scratched it for sure as it would've had sfa effect on the pools. It was carrying a heap of money and paradoxically they bend over backwards to get it in the gates (and the punters get bent over in the process).

Mailman I had two bets yesterday. Fuddle de Duddle and Master Marlon EW in the last. Do you see me on here constantly bleating like yourself ? How are we going with your previous statement ? Mailmans last post HONEST !!

    it's irrelevant colin.
the decision to let that horse run WAS wrong.
so you can take issue with mailman all you like, but the plain simply fact is that was a pathetic decision.
those in control of the sloppiest jurisdiction in the country should bow their heads in shame.
it's an all too often occurrence in backwoodsville.

    Good point Rodent.

It must be a fine line for the stewards, when a horse is well in the market and it plays up badly like this fella did yesterday, do you give it the benefit of the doubt, to let the punters get a run for their money? The flip side is the horse may have run his race before the event. You are right, they would lose patience with a rank outsider a lot quicker. Scarmandrius didn't play up in the barrier, just didn't want to have anything to do with them.

A tough call to make for the stewards, but that is what they get paid for.

It is a tough one; I've heard many an owner/trainer/jock complain when they have a horse withdrawn at the order of the stewards pre race.

There will always be a side that feels harshly done by, be it the punter on a horse that perhaps should have been pulled and runs accordingly, or the connections of a horse that was pulled still thinking their horse would have cantered in...

Having said that, weight of betting money should have no influence in the decisions, and I guess that is what we see here, or at least what we think we see here in WA...

Wilson talk about flog a dead horse u need to move on.As far as me carrying on have a look at the posts that agree with what i have stated u have to be  blind not to see it or has that mining dust got to u also.I think u just have a axe to grind so even if a post is made thats pretty on money u have to disagree getting boring really move on i am starting to think u have issues..The offer is still there to put your tips up for a few months after all i am no good u have said and i have no idea then u and a few others wont mind alittle side wager to sort it out in front of all on here to see balls in your caught maybe u can bring ice with u he seems to be full of good ideas and also della aka what ever other name he used.No wait he cant play cause he has been banned i am told lol.The top weight in race 3 more then made it a nice day for me yesterday but thanks for your interest.

if you did the numbers on horses that don't want to be there, and they let you know they don't, then  you would find their strike rate would be close to zero.
    they simply don''t win.

Yep, had noted that his post had gone anonymous (no name attributed).  So assumed he had his account deleted.

I think there was a post/topic that tipped the edge about 2 weeks ago. Didn't see it myself,
only the post by Diva after he reset a topic to erase the offending post and
    what followed.

Barrier staff did good job to get a known cranky horse in to start
  • motivatedmotivated    334 posts
Its a real easy one, if the horse plays up it should be out. RE Whiskey Prince at Pinj last week.

There is no winner in running a horse that has gone off in the gates.....must be scr, how can they tell how much damage a horse has made to itself when it gives it's head a good old whack.

Must be out, to protect punter, and also owners.....there is always a race next week.

I will be up front and say that I did back Scamandrius.

When I saw the vision of them trying to get the blindfold on, I knew I had done my money and was hoping they'd scr it. They did do well to get it in. It trialled on Monday (sent back) so presume everything went well with it then. What I find frustrating is tha the stewards haven't seen fit to send it back to the trials again.

Agree Swooper, they need to be much much tougher on barrier rogues over here. If it wont load well enough as to not hold the races up, send it away. Simple, Horse's need to be educated better so as to not affect the ones that have loaded well....I find it is always a certain few stables that horses always seem difficult to load. But time to take a stand and just get very tough on this.

:(  Shame to see B/C deleted, thought he gave as good as he got & possibly copped more than he gave, he new his stuff and possibly that intimidates some but at the end of the day he gave me some info that was to my benefit/help that i would not have know otherwise, i would have thought people like that (willing to help a total stranger) would be an asset to a site like this and help it grow????
Maybe a cup of concrete and harden the #$@^ up is in order if he hit a nerve and went to far in reply to a comment, after all this is meant to be a FORUM not a boys club, different points of view is what makes this place worth looking at and makes it grow, imagine a world where we just blew hot air up each other butts, NO thanks!!  Shame to see you go B/C.

b cow, let me put it another way.

i hate censorship, and i hate posts being deleted no matter who wrote them, and even if they were attacking me, i would still hate to see them deleted.X(

but i saw at least one of the posts he wrote, that led to his demise, and i have no arguments with him being banned, it was entirely self inflicted.

one other point, there is FAR greater leniency now than when della ran the forum.
he was the king of censorship, so i think you better have a rethink.
