Sage packing it in after this season. dont blame him one bit... can see us not having a team in a few seasons.

I can not believe Sage has been involved for 4 or 5 seasons & spent so much money & has never got a real coach

He has made his losses worse by letting these coaches bring in superannuation players..

Make that next season the way things are going? We can't afford not to have a team in the national comp but can someone else afford to burn money on owning Glory?

So the latest is Sage may stay but if not there is another buyer(?) ready to go for Glory.

What annoys me about the situation is that with all the Poms here in Perth that wont get behind their local team instead they just bag the standard and team yearning for the old dart.
They complain about the middle easterns not assimilating alot of these poms (not all) just want the UK with sun forget it get behind the Dockers then.

Yes there is a lot of complaining but from the different nationalities.

In recent years Perth Glory have had squads that on paper should have been be vying to win the league or certainly be top 4 and yet have been battling to finish in the top half so there are reasons for supporter frustration.

Well done to Sage for injecting some of his finances into the club but unfortunately others within the club haven't shared his passion for it.

Sage's lawyers must of said there is no way out so now he is back after his big sook

Better off without an a-league team than a team with TS as owner with Fergie in coach running the game down

    Gracias para nada, Fergie.

Any chance Glory can finish a match with 11 players on the field :?:

Fat chance when the coach wants to other team to have the majority of the ball

amazing what can happen when you play attacking football. game should have been over in the first half after we created lots of chances. 3 away games now will be very tough.. great atmosphere in the shed tonight.

They should have won but great to see a much better effort from Glory.

Apparently there is a steward's inquiry into the improved performance :!: :!:

A late winner, thankfully it was us that scored it this time. always that bit more special when you have a nice bet on them to win...

Good on you for keeping the faith financially Golos.

I thought it was a great price and I thought they were a very good chance for victory but I still couldn't put my money on them.

Well we all bagged them but the Glory deserve full credit for turning things around in a big way. Hopefully they keep up the momentum (and maintain 11 players on the field) in their remaining games to finish top 4 with hopefully a home final. Not too much to expect now is it after some ordinary seasons.

what a change in form. still eight games to go this season so there is every chance we could still finish outside the six. big game this monday, if results go our way we could move to second. the manager has finally learnt how to play attacking football and its working for us. if we can secure a home final we will be hard to beat.

any chance we will see you at the game tivs??
  • TiversTivers    7,720 posts
    Yep
Possibly with Jordan and this Juventus character who's popped up......

Danger game though - complacency v bottom team ?

Observation - change in form coincides with absence of Mehmet ?

Very good observation i think he is over rated and would be better warming the bench until such time as he is req'd

this game sure is a crucial one. might have a little bet on gold coast cause im sure the price will be there and i can see us slipping up soon enough.

playing both smeltz and mehmet in the same team means we play a genuine 4-4-2. they are both your typical up front striker, they dont have that creative ability. it can work but not the way we are playing now. our passing game has finally come good due to the fact that miller is getting far more of the ball.
