I think last nights result will be "Perfect" for the appeal on thursday.
  • depends on what sectionals they ran last night to the run before, think it was slower last night

From the 400--1200 she went .05 faster last night
From 800-600 she went .09 slower last night
From 600-400 she went .39 faster last night

In other words she was ridden the same last night as the week before
  • that is only from the 1200, what was the 1st part of the race sectionals I think is what is important

    eg" 1600 to 1200
    1400 to 1000

nearly 1 second from the 800 to the 600 is nowhere near the same, I think she will get a reduction, maybe 2 weeks. Looked like Symons wasnt niggling nearly as much last night until about the 600, would think she had a much easier run the 1st 1/2 of the race last night, and was a much easier class also last night

Read what was written--0.09 sec difference from 800-600--nowhere near 1 second

Spot on PB. According to TVN she went 1 sec quicker for the first 800m. That equals 6L, had it much easier, and was not taken on like last start easier.

Horses cant burn the candle at both ends usually, unless your Might and Power, had a much softer lead last night and raced accordingly!

So you would be wanting Katelyn Mallyon gets 6 weeks after her ride today in the 2nd at Sandown.

Huge difference between Talia Rodder and Chris Symonds--one a 3kg girl, the other a very strong and experienced man

No one is bagging here bud, just merely stating the horse had an easier run first half of the race, when Talia rode it she had one with her head and head. And of course Chris would have known better than to let it run too quick early this start.
  • Good to see Talia still riding winners despite what happened

The way some people are carrying on here, its like she has lost a leg or something, bad situation to be in with the inquiry, but gee wiz, its only a 6 week suspension! Get a grip! Will most likely be reduced to 3 anyways!
  • Im sure she would have preferred to have lost a leg than have her reputation damaged

perhaps she should have lied at the stewards enquiry like you advocated on another thread
  • who's to say she didn't lie

You think she would have preferred to lose the leg?

    Muppet.

No different to the AFL players at the tribunal. If there is no video to prove you done anything wrong, why would you hang yourself?

    Again....muppet

    from Racenet:

    Rodder cleared by RAD board
    Clinton Payne
    Thursday, 1 December 2011

Apprentice Talia Rodder has defeated the controversial six-week suspension issued by Racing Victoria stewards on appeal to the Victorian Racing Appeals and Disciplinary board on Thursday.

Stewards found Rodder guilty of a breach of Australian Racing Rule AR135 (b), alleging the 28-year-old failed to give Serene Tanie the opportunity to obtain the best possible placing in the Corporate Interiors Handicap (1500m) at Moonee Valley on November 19.

RAD board chairman Judge Russell Lewis and his panel ruled that the rule wasn't there to punish 3kg apprentices for an error of judgment.

Lewis overturned the six-week penalty and Rodder has been cleared to resume riding.

    Good.
  • A common sense result

Apparently the judge was very critical of Bailey in the case.

He was not impressed that if they charged Tahlia (which he said they should not have) they had to at least question Jake Noonan as well.

Noonan was riding the other one that went hard in front--it takes 2 to fight for the lead
