I'm pretty sure this is on but no information is forthcoming on the Perth Racing website in respect to times etc.

I don't think I can get there, but it would be nice to be able to make an informed decision.

Couldn't agree more Damien, biggest racing day of the year. Couldn't arrange an ice cream licking comp in the middle of summer.
  • Wheels have come off at PR. Just renewed my subscription now $270 and we haven't had a trial report for two weeks now.

Being a member got my invite late last week. I'm not going..
25 bucks for an ordinary brekky is a bit bloody steep.
Sort of like $35 for a bottle of Yellowglen bubbly...in coles for 7 bucks..they'd get it for 5... :x

makes you wonder what sponsors are for ?

On 6PR tonight they gave out timings from 6 AM through to 6.55 AM and I presume they will be worked on the grass. That being the case I will go out there unless I sleep through the alarm......

Don't take your camera, Damien.
Last year the miserable sods did not even allow the strappers and track riders to have a feed.
I think they tossed them a cuppa cha and a sao biscuit...fair dinkum.
Think nothing of writing a cheque for a motza to greedy lawyers... :x

got a few good ones I think, but have to be a Dad first before I process any images. Be on my facebook pages a bit later in the morning, Diva can pinch them from there if he wants them displayed here

Yeah I queried the increase to PR.com, said that there hadnt been an increase since the inception. Therefore it forced me to be come a full member

The BWTS is a great idea, just light on in the quality of food, and if you paid $25 you would have been dark, dont even get toast!!!

didnt take notice of too many this morning but Avienus gave King Saul a good going over. She had a horrible flight over but seems to have recovered very well for the weekend.

Bridgestone gave Playing God a touch up aswell. Bridgestone looked to be doing it within himself while Playing God was niggled to keep up.

Cheers. If anything good to know from a WA Gunieas perspective. And if King Saul comes out and wins the Guineas then she will be worth having something on at decent e/w odds

I know it is only just after 3PM, but no story and no vision from this mornings event. There was no audio that I could hear trackside this morning.

Yet on the drive home I heard the visiting NZ Owner say what a great function it was compared to Eastern States and NZ.

    Got me stumped

I thought it was a good gig.
Had black caviar been there, would have been the biggest breakfast ever seen!

    trainer interviews online now.

yes I should have said that I didn't go anywhere near the function, I saw the occasional committee member and I realised it was going to be one of those lovefests

dont mean to be rude mate but you got that first bit totally wrong. king saul was sublime in his work and worked far better than avenius, beating it to the line under far less pressure. everyone associated with the horse was stoked. arguably the gallop of the morning, marc webb said he was still happy with avenius' work to wes

If he drew a barrier he would be a moral, especially at the odds on offer.

Its not fishing mate, your a pathological gambler. You'd bet heads on a coin with 2 tails on it and still come back for more

i think king saul will beat it... id forget last run of king saul. the downpour of rain just came at the wrong time for it last run as it never looked comfortable in the conditions and just kept getting shuffled back while Rons Call got the best run in the world and obviously relished the going. Provided its a nice dry track, Craig Williams goes on, blinkers on and worked sharp with them.
