All the focus on Kewell, but gees...........I'd rather be Sydney with Emerton lining up this weekend.

    Victory have a very very good squad on paper should romp the league in, glory to improve and finally give us some decent finals action :D

    Just saying - as a player, I'd take Emerton over Kewell (as in value to team)

    Team has improved on paper to me and should be very competitive, would be very disappointed if they didn't finish in the top 5.

    Personally i would take Kewell all day every day can be a bit injury prone and hasn't got the same work ethic as Emerton but Kewell is a special player the greatest Australia has ever produced and he can win games off his own boot Emerton not in the same class and not a match winner for mine.

    pumped for this season... i thought last seasons team was capable of going deep into the finals. this season though is 10x better. we need to make it very very deep into the finals.

    interesting to see how many games fergie will get to prove himself im thinking around 6 or 7. his record as a coach is shocking, having said that this season may be the first time he has had a decent squad.

    ill be fronting up for punishment again this year. hopefully some of you join in aswell.

    Nah, definately going to get myself to more events this summer - in training for Wildcats move back in to the city next year !!! :D

    Keen to be aboard Glory tomorrow 6/4, saver the draw at 2s.
    Kick the season off with something, squad looks very decent, see what Smeltz can deliver up front

    Emerton's missed penalty was as soft as jelly!
    Kewell looked good at times, a little hungry if u ask me (and no one likes a ball hog) :lol:

    pretty good effort today, could easily have won 3 or 4 nil. things are looking good for this season, although i did say that five rounds into last season..

    Agree thought they played well bit of a lapse for about 15 mins in the second half but if they finished off there chances could easily have been 4 or 5! And Adelaide tipped to finish 2nd this year so good start :D

    fair to say Smeltz had a shocker of a day. but the good thing was that we created the chances, something we didnt do last year. on any other day he probly gets a hat trick...

    yep, sure can see it all going wrong from here now. second half was much better WHEN WE ATTACKED. fielded a far too defensive side in the first half. i should have gone to the races instead of watching that crap...

    big effort by the boys. once again though the refs are having a big impact on the game. in my opinion its the only area in which the league hasnt improved..

    yes please. wheels have well and truely fallen off now. fergie has no idea. taking off dodd and sterjovski with 10 to go and we conceed. did the same thing in welington last week and we cop a goal...

    adelaide sack their coach and then sign a coach they have previously sacked. i was hoping we would get kosmina..

    I was reliably (at least I thought it was) told that the coach was being 'asked to leave' a couple of weeks ago. There must have been a late change of plan... obviously no change of form.
