Gun Melbourne Apprentice to ride in Perth this weekend

One of Victoria's leading apprentices Adam McCabe will be booked to ride Werd in this weekend's open sprint.
Chris Gangemi looked far and wide for a suitable apprentice for this weekend, most either had rides, or were riding at other venues.
As a last resort, the team as Ascot Bloodstock called a few of their eastern states contacts in search of a good young rider who was free for the weekend. Among the names were Dan Stackhouse, Adam McCabe, Katelyn and Jordan Mallyon.
Adam McCabe is available this weekend, simply because of the nature of the meeting this week at Caulfield with three Group 1's, two group 2's, a Group 3 and a Listed race, very slim pickings for an apprentice.
McCabe sits third on the apprentices premiership for the season with a winning strike rate of more than 10%.
