It's a very difficult field, wide open. I'm going for big price

SNOW FAIRY

Racecard - http://arc-de-triomphe.racingpost.com/horses/cards/multiple_cards.sd?crs_id=211&r_date=2011-10-02

In fact the day's racing field is simply first class. Looking forward to
this live telecast.

Our roving reporter, Peter Day, will be doing a story and taking some pics for the website.
We managed to score him several tickets (about 14 I think) as our media representative!
Im sure he'll have a big day!

wow, any latest news on potential winners from him Diva

hard enough to get him at the best of times. I'll just be happy if he remembers to get his camera out and take a few snaps.

It's so difficult to pin point the obvious best horse in the races. Your info are useful pointers to me.

Or I will have to put all the numbers in a hat and pick one - like lucky draw  Seems like in every race anyone can win

So You Think and champion French mare Sarafina share favouritism with TAB Sportsbet?s Fixed Odds at $3.80.

So you think cannot win the Arc. A place at best.

    Never discount a champion.

My gut feel is that this is a race too far for So You Think. I can't say the mood was encouraging when I was over in that part of the World a couple of weeks ago.

Win lose or draw, he should retire following this run and prepare for the upcoming breeding season. He has nothing further to prove.

So You Think drawn poorly in barrier 14 out of 16.. the other favourite Sarafino next door in 13. Interestingly only 2 from the last 21 placegetters in the Arc have drawn wider than 9

Hiruno D'Amour might be one at each way odds if there is going to be an upset.

tend to agree - hope he runs well but this is no Mickey Mouse Ireland Group 1

Race - GROUP 1 300,000 pounds PRIX DE LABBAYE

MARGOT DID has strong chance, but this is another 'difficult' race in Arc de Triomphe racing festival    .

I get dizzy just looking at the star studded Arc De Triomphe field.

But I'll still stick to SNOW FAIRY (F. Dettori). I know it has the best turn of foot.

So you think got a mile out of his ground. Ran on well just behind the placings.

Was a good run after getting so far back, but probably didn't have much choice from out there. Ran 4th.

wide barrier or not, SYT got way too far back. I thought it was a pretty ordinary ride. Clearly didnt see SYT at it cox plate runs! Would have finished a lot closer if ridden in a handy position. Prob wouldnt have won tho, winner far too good.

Heffernan appeared to be more concerned about opposition instead of just getting on with it. Didn't get a clear passage in the straight either but the winner was too good.

What about the racecaller. He calls one of the biggest races in the world... calls the first horse past the post then....THAT'S ALL. He calls one runner over the line. WOEFUL

Smart move by the Japanese breeder Yoshida who bought a half share in the filly two days ago. Danedream was originally purchased as a yearling for just under $15,000

That racecall on the You Tube link is far superior to the pitiful call SkyWorld dished up.

He actually got in a winning position imo but he couldn't go straight from what i could see to get his momentum up.

The caller on the You Tube link is Jim McGrath who calls for the BBC (we used to hear his Royal Ascot calls).

That's right .. he used to call here and now calls meetings regularly in UK though he has changed his style a bit to suit the locals. His call of the Arc was more like JM of old.

Poor Margot Did, was among the leaders but was suddenly eased up in the straight, either he bled or was lame. :(
