    What in the hell was Miller doing on KKK?
    From gate 3 should have had a cozy sit behind the pace.
    Never been back that far in its life...fair dinkum... :x

    I don't think you can blame Miller the pace was frenetic. He obviously wanted leaders back, but under the 60kgs KKK just didn't go early.

    Well done to Black George, but again I have to ask why there are no inquisitions into McGruddys ride?

    I've been a big, if not huge advocate for Perth Racing for a long time now, but it's hard to keep following.

    I understand jockeys make errors, that's all part of this sport. My problem is the continual incompetence shown. It gets to the point where I wonder if they've laid there mounts on the fair.

    I dont and won't accuse anyone of cheating, but I will question there brain size. And I do thoroughly hope it is there brain size which is causing these errors.

    I've never been a big Eastern States follower of the nags, but that's changing. You at least know the fella on your horse knows how to ride.

    This has been going on for years mate,take away Pike,Harvey and probably Staeky and Knuckey the rest can you have any wonder Harvey won 10 Jocks titles in a row as he had no opposition during that time then Pike comes along and that all changed

    Congrats to my favourite jock on his win yesterday. 16 winners since the start of the season, he's travelling along very nicely indeed. Keep it up Dong!

    McGruddy got trapped wide from the barrier....what sort of inquisition are you after?
    Miller didnt look like he wanted the leaders back to me. Dragged KKK back to worse than midfield. Might have been instructed to do so, but certainly didnt want to be in the first three by the looks of it?

    yes radman, dungy made a serious error of judgement there.
    he included a yesterday man and left out a today man....
    fancy leaving o'donnell out,.....as far as bikkies go, he is the pick of the crop.

    Every jockey has his glory days however, Paul Harvey lifts horses and gets something extra out of them that no other jockey in WA can.

    once upon a long long long time ago, it may have been true.

    the horse drew 3 and couldn't get in, nothing you can do about that, got dragged back by the one in front, it's not like your driving a car. The horse couldn't have won, also The KKK of 12 months ago would not have been beaten by any of those that finished in front of him yesterday..Smart Punch and Intimidator, cmon,
    Once Miller couldn't settle in the 1st 3 the horse was never comfortable was very tight where he was racing for a few furlongs, with 60kgs you cant stop and start

    Lucky for you, I like your opinions old chap :wink: . I can think of a series of rides Paul Harvey had last year during the spring/summer where he got an extra length out of a horse and left Willie in his wake. Being fair to your statement, I haven't seen it happen since then.

    In your opinion Carey, whom do you rate the highest in the WA jockey ranks?

    Im remember WP doing the same to Ponty in a Derby a few years ago Harvey rode Yuro from gate 2 and Pikey[Grand Journey] pushed him 3 deep at the winning post and held him there the entire and Yuro went down a lip biggest carve up ive seen in a gr-1 race anywere

    Actually Henley watch the replay of the Winterbottom last year Waratahs drew 1 was 3 back the fence with the rail opening up Harvey came of the fence went into traffic looking for runs and got held up the entire straight still ran 4th Hadbeklorka Willie went straight up the paint and took the run that Waratahs should have taken 750k race moral beaten came out next start and beat Hadbelklorka under a hold mmmmm they also the Guineas last year Pago Rock ouchhhh chop there also from gate 3 hey they all have bad days look at Willies ride on Ranger in the cup last year shocker!!! but drew 16 .

    actually i was unhappy with myself for that posting, so i apologise for calling it twaddle.
    i don't like the guy because he treats the people that pay for his lavish lifestyle with contempt every time he sits up, as do the stewards when they do nothing about it most times.
    at his best he would probably be all you say he is, but most times it is his worst on display.

    anyway to your question...there are no highest jockeys in the sense that all that matters is how much you can win off them.
    the pretend pontiff, may have a wonderful strike rate, but is it enough to win money?
    so'd is the one i prefer, because not only does he win on horses that should win, he also wins on those that don't appear to have much hope, something the pretend guy can't do.

    that was the classic slaughter job for a horse that was the best in the race.
    and that is these days much more par for the course than the great rides.
    problem coloured by me losing more money backing what was a certainty at great odds. i should have knocked about .5 off the probability it would win given who was riding it!!!

    DarkShines i did mention Ranger but as a loyal Ponty fan i suggest you go watch the Winterbottom from last year but be advised have a box of tissues handy :lol: at least Willies excuse was he drew 16 on Ranger NOT 1! Which Waratahs did :lol: :lol: and Yuro drew ???? 2 and was 3 deep the entire so carving one up from 16 can happen but not from good marbles a good jock wouldnt let that happen :wink:

    F Y I thanks for that i was typing mine out and didnt read yours at that point so fair call but i was pointing it out it was a shocker as you no no excuse but [b]drew 16 [/b he is trialling Monday i see your old mate Ranger along with a few handy Summer carnival horses ,Lords Ranson,Tranquility -she trialled brillaint the othe day-Western Jewell,Mystic Hour im tipping the cerise and white to have a good xmas what do you reckon ? Im told a few 3 yolds they have there have good motors

    No doubt, why wouldn't he.

    Every other battler has got Mcflirts and Kendel Stars running around, he's got Zabeels, Redoute's and MTR's. Spends exponentially more than the next biggest fish (except on trainers :lol: :lol: ).

    Impossible to measure but love to see the books (ie purchase/serve prices to prizemoney won).
