interesting comment right near the end to the effect of: Metal Talk will take a power of beating if I can keep him out of trouble. Wont be any trouble if he leads....which is where the horse likes it best!

    Short term pain (ie my $ last week) for long term gain - I reckon they reckon he's gonna be a better horse taught to sit - that is what they are trying to do I think

    Im with DS his best win came the other Saturday coming of a hot pace reckon he lays down when he leads even when getting it soft 3 starts ago he gave it away pretty easy sitting is this blokes go but like tommorrow if there is no dead set leader then he is likely to pull his ears of

    got beat his last couple of runs he has led, hows that where he likes it best?

    needs to be allowed to run in my opinion, not strangled in the lead.
    got beat at bunbury being strangled in the lead aswell.
    some horses you just gotta let run.
    I do agree though, longer term, it might pay to lose a few now in order to get the horse to settle, but if you were looking to win tomorrow, id be letting him go.
