Best LAY or Pot of the Weekend

West Australian Racing
see a few people bagging the chances of Playing God

like to see everyone put up the horse that is in the betting and represents the best risk over the weekend - add your reasons

for mine

Race 5 BLISS STREET ($3.50 current odds)
dont think this beat much last start, can see it being caught wide during the run and reckon it may get back in a slowly run race

being heavily tipped in the tabform think it may start a lot shorter than it deserves to be

Rebel Fury - Awk draw, been up a while, goes to a new dist for the first time on a 7 day b/up and dont think the joc will do it any favours.
Metal Talk - Can't see it running 1400m the way it's finsihed off its past 2 1200m races.
  • been a lot of money for Metal Talk - which is interesting

Market correction - 8/1 was overs, 7/2 more correct.
Personally, be happy to lay all day at current quote

Be interested what price it starts 2moro. You think its a lay, I think its a lay, maybe the bookies will think its a lay. Wouldn't be surprised to see it get out 2moro on track.

Knock Mabel Grace. Been a good bookies horse.
Always a big tip for it on course and will probably start shorter than $4 again tomorrow.

Bliss St ran half a second quicker than the KK field and was eased down 100m out i actually think Single spice will be left alone this week

Playing God. Distance a query, feet a query, rigors of travel a query, lead-up prep a query.
Without doubt the best horse in the race, but far from the best prep to run 2400m for the first time....

I potted one a few monthsago and collected the money - even put it up on this website before the race for FREE

dont want to ruin my 100% record

and playing god... will be short on totes no doubt, cannot possibly have it on the preparation it has had...

Disagree on Philby meets another average field won with ease last start is in top form will win again IMO but same on Playing God couldnt have after last start

Philby is probably near on a good thing at Ascot, but may be a little short in betting.

i agree with it being in a fairly weak field... i give credit to its placement week in, week out, but just a fair horse that goes around unders due to p.harvey etc... more so a lay at current quote

Philby has electrifying turn of speed, but only off slow tempo

As strange as it sounds, hes a better chance coming from last if they walk (instead of the standard backmarkers needing pace)

His recent wins have been slow paces. Speed in this depends on tactics on Club Liquid and On The Carpet - I concur with most hes big unders

Shoot me if in wrong place but :
Moonee Valley R7: Flatchat is 1.95 no thanks, Beat Snort & start before Leoncavallo who since ran awfully @ next start.

I dont follow Vict but listening in on a preview - Alf Matthews said its a moral and value at $1.95 - Deane Lester also tipped it to win

If you are right Coldy you should cash in nicely - goodluck

Eric serious question why would you have layed Benny's Halo? only way I saw it getting beat was 2yr old training off or was it tempo related? but had been coming home like a train in slowly run races
