Yet Marasco's dam went for only 40k - although I guess she is getting towards the end of her career, the others still have ten or more yeras of breeding to go.

Surprised Spitfire Ace only went for 45k. Thought his run the other day with that weight was full of merit!

You should have been there bidding then !!! :)

    Rated 91 is the catch.
Has to go in tough races, or carry weight.
Basically needs to win three Saturdays in the next year to make that back. Hasn't won one in over a year now.

But in saying that..............have had enough people say they would have bought a share in him at that price to sell him twice over this morning.
Could have had our cake, and eaten it too !

    Do over ??? :)

    Hey Tivers,

I'm a Richmond fan from way back and am always interested in meeting with other Richmond fans. Could you please give me the phone numbers of those two Richmond supporters in your avatar, I want to invite them around to watch the next weeks game. :P

I said the same thing when someone paid 65k for Grey Monarch, although he returned $46,500 in four starts once the new owner took over.

Looks ready to return to the track soon.

Guess you have to take into account training fees, as they add up real quick!

Seems a few of these sales don't go through anyway, just noticed 'Best Feature' was sold to Jim Taylor last year for 45k, yet is still owned and racing for Bob Peters.

    A few interesting ones:

0010 + Cherry Wood Chestnut Mare Woodman Canon Song 1999 broodmare MAGIC MILLIONS AS AGENT WA $21000

Passed in last year for $3,500

0031 + Northern Banner Bay or Brown Mare Serheed Banners Flying 2001 broodmare MAGIC MILLIONS AS AGENT WA $25000

Passed in last year for $4,500

Yes is the same gent - good luck to him, GM has certainly done reasonably well since he purchased him.

Think SA will certainly give some good runs!
  • I suppose some people are happy to pay a premium to have a Saturay runner - good luck to the man anyway, hope he gets plenty of enjoyment

hey tivers - bring the stable staff down to cheer him on atleast :P
