Have really liked the wins of Bennys Halo, looks the leading contender for me at the moment

reckon Peter Bell has a mortgage on the race. Hard to split the 2 as well IMO.

Interesting early call whenpatinack and David Hayes have so many entered. Hallowell belle would have to figure aswell if it came over surely?

how many runners are there normally and is prize money or ratings which decides who gets a run?

Usually capped at 16 runners, some years not a full field though.
Prizemoney earn't decides order of entry and I'm pretty sure prizemoney from restricted races (i.e. MM race) doesn't count

Any idea when the order of entry will be out?
  • TheFunksterTheFunkster    3,840 posts
To give you an idea, last year $4k was the cut-off mark for a start.
The year before $0 got a start as was only 15 acceptors.

Good luck if you have one up and running

my picks would be the leader out of Single Spice, Internationalist, Night War unless they are run down in the last 100 by Western Fever and In Edens Honour, barriers will be the key.
  • REDONEREDONE    41 posts
In Eden's Honour 4 starts, barriers drawn 16,14,12,9 would love to see her draw a decent gate.

Have to agree with the Diva if Hollowelle Belle comes i don't think anything will get near her.

from memory her first race's last 600 was 32.6 when she was 3 lengths off the pack at the turn and ran a nose 2nd to Absolute Cracker, if she's around about on the turn i would be confident

Red Hot Sax improves every run, hard to knock that. Night War for me of locals still but

I can't recall a season where the 2 year olds are so even.

Or when the fillies were so dominant ?
  • PieManPieMan    271 posts
Didn't the Fillies fill the first 6 positions of last years K.P? I know we were beaten by two fillies.

    46908 Nine Tenors 34.00/9.25

They are better on nearly every runner. They have the market order nearly exactly the same as well so have obviously just copied the Player markets and gone overs on everything.
  • or PLAYER have copied there market and set lower odds - which is much more likely perhaps?

think the $41 available for nine tenors is very nice, if it comes out and wins first up as its trials suggests, it wont be around for long..
  • Interested to hear people's opinions now we are getting down to the nitty gritty

may say I thought Flying Affair was going to be caught in the Gimcrack yesterday - seemed to be swishing the tail a long way out and ran home in 36.07 yet nothing caught her

not sure 1200m she will be able to last?? esp if they adopt tactics of taking up a big lead like they did yesterday

Benny's Halo will have blinkers you would think but may also have to improve?

Hartley's Hangover was a massive flop - will it even get a start?

Bliss Street looked good hitting the line and I wouldnt rule out Night War yet either

I think if anything for Over East comes it will probably win if its good any ability at all
