A very interesting race this year.

Old timer Arctic Park draws nicely and carries topweight over the short trip.

Metallic Storm on the comeback trail - an exceptional fresh horse who won the race last year.

Then we have the potential emerging stars in the Pateman pair Stormed Out and Centrum with Danes Mystery and Far Horizons.

Really looking forward to this race.

My Tip : Danes Mystery.

    Interesting field.......
    Your attention is drawn to Far Horisons and Danes Mystery as last start winners over 1,100 (against many of the same horses), but look at the times they ran - 1.04.47 & 1.04.83. Nothing there to blow your hair back !
    Drop in weight and his favourite gate for the old stager - Arctic Park, if at a price, could be the value bet.
    Mind you........DM ran 57.20 the start before over the 1,000m !!! (and at Belmont).

    I have taken the $3.50 Danes Mystery - think its a $2.80 chance. Other runners appear around the right mark.

    This looks made for Arctic Park, a renowned weight carrier, third run from a let up, inside gate. Yep, the 14/1 is very juicy.

    Don't they say the only time you look at times is dog races?
    Arctic Park ran 1000 in 57.12 last start this distance / this track with 58.5.

    Great campaigner, but last win at 1,000m was summer scorcher nearly 2 years ago. Some might be a bit slick for him in this imo.
