BELMONT opening day

West Australian Racing
Be interested to get feedback from people attending the course today on the refurbishment. A lot of money spent, so do you think it was worth it ?

Still that long walk from car park to the course, there is a bus but you haven't wait on bus or otherwise walk, not sure if they have shelter on a wet day to wait in if waiting for bus, when leaving on a wet day returning to your vehicle you are going to get very wet, unless you have a quick sprint on you.

NEW LARGE INFIELD SCREEN : Excellent innovation with a very clear screen for viewing races live, this was quite impressive
BOOKMAKERS RING AND LOWER BAR AREA : Some new screens and further carpets placed in area (If I remember correctly) Quite a nice area really
SMALL MEMBERS AREA ON LEVEL 2 : For me personally the highlight of the fitout. Lot of wooden doors and screens replaced by stylish glass which makes the area bright and looks bigger, good new seating on this level in NON Members area along the home straight. Now a pleasure to sit there at new tables with a lovely view of the track.
MAIN MEMBERS AREA : Old bar removed and replaced by a stylish new bar (Looks nice) Rest of the members has been refurbished to an extent but didn't get to look at it in depth but have heard good reports of what it looks like down near the winning post end of members area. I will venture down there one day next week and have a better look
OVERALL : Belmont has been a gloomy venue for a lot of years now (the dark weather and rain) not assisting in this. At least now with some nice new innovations and some creative decoration Belmont looks like a place you would like to return to if you went there for the first time for a race meeting. Good job and credit to all from this punter

Has been a problem for a couple of years now, not going to be solved quickly as far as I know, it's a shame. As a member I get a slightly shorter walk but again no cover from the rain for us either

    What a shambles
    With all the alterations,
    The transport,
    People still
Confused with pick-up fir Taxis and Ubers people have booked Ubersbut the Uber driver ringing them where are you have The taxis and Uber driver's been told or Shown where the new drop off and pick up point is Knowing Perth Racing of course not that would be asking to much of them,
