Whip rule protest

West Australian Racing
Jeez the 1st winner at Northam today Jarrad Noske went to town on it with the whip (I'm saying 12 hits before the 100, possibly 13!).
Just wins on the line.
Surely if there's a chance of this whip rule being administered as a deterrent then a protest and upheld decision would achieve something.
As it is, jockeys can make their decision on how much they really want to win the race and completely flaunt the rule, thereby chesting the owners/connections of the second horse out of a win.

Sorry, I disagree wholeheartedly. Jockeys break rules to win races all the time. Just fine and suspend them. Leave the innocent punters out of it.

The horse that won the major race in England last week has been disqualified for minor excessive whip use but amazingly after raceday

    Would the keep @Rodent happy?

I don't mind what they do as long as it doesn't have an impact on punting. Who can say there is even an advantage with extra whip strikes?
The whole thing is about appeasing the animal welfare groups and has nothing to do with racing integrity.
Those going on about it are flogging a dead horse (pun intended).

Rodent is 101% right here, the PUNTER must not be affected by the actions of the jockey. We're losing enough punters in this world without hammering them for something they have no control over. Rodent again is correct in saying "how do we know if the whip does help the horse "

You're not in control of the outcomes anyway when you're punting Psycho.
The punter is regularly affected by the actions of the jockey.
    Not to mention other variables.

I'm here suggesting that the rules are adhered to, so that there is some form of consistency in the game, which would theoretically assist punters.
My suggestion to actually grow some balls and take a race off someone would serve to clean up the cheating.

which punter is being protected though? . the punter on the winning horse that the jockey broke the whip rule . Or the punter on the second horse whos jockey stayed within the guidelines?

I think it’s more connections of the horse, look at yesterday, Luke and Lucy + owners go down by a head. what’s the different in that, $9k + westspeed if eligible + whatever on the punt … and the winner jock cops $500 fine for being 7 times more than the limit. this just a maiden, imagine something bigger. ????????‍♂️
