I've had a few tonight. And I don't profess to say I know much about the trots.

But wowee, I've seen some drives this weekend that make me go.

I'll watch replays tomorrow and make a sounder judgement, before I go to town on here.

But I'm done on the chariots for a while I think.

Before you place the ball on the tee, have a squiz at the gallops replays from a couple of meetings today......a few doozies to contemplate. Not defending bad steers, we have all copped them but it does sort of go with the territory. It ain't easy out there.

Not making any accusations - but race 8 at Stawell ( there is an adjourned inquiry ) - one could come to the conclusion - lets get this short price favourite beat  ( and not by the bloke who was driving it - he did nothing wrong)

Diamond Jasper $1.60 fave looked over the line - 1700 metres ( they have gone 1.55 unbelievable )- goes to the lead and will win ( and would have won by 30 metres )

However a roughie driven by a kid wouldnt surrender the lead for nearly a lap ( i didnt mind because i was on the 2ndhorse ) - that leader got beaten 198 metres - Diamond Jassper was very brave - they only grabbed it in the last 20 metres

The race is worth a look

Hmm, Rocking Tess will sleep well but she is not a bad horse, has won in 1.55 and 1.54 recently, so arguably she went badly unders to be beaten by 200m. Jasper did a helluva job but the driver did press on for nearly a lap, so 6 of one, half a dozen of the other maybe. Be Good Juddy with Sugars just biding his time back 2nd last, must have been 60 metres off them at one stage. One could say a very competitive race!!!!
