don't worry it's common for this p!ss weak stuff to happen with Player.. I recently had a 3 leg multi knocked back and said the bet amount exceeded their maximum exposure of some sh*t in the end the maximum it would allow me to bet on the multi was $1.43 no joke

I was allowed to have $2 max on Kia Ora Koutou at $61 with WATAB

Ended up backing him with Sportsbet at the $41

And the only reason they are allowed to only bet on those days is because Tab-Touch's owners wont change the rules to allow him to do so...Otherwise he would probably run a book on most WA meetings and many of the east coast feature meets......But that's a story for another day.....well in fact one that has been told a few times before and doesn't need repeating.

Back in August, under the headline, Tabcorp is a disgrace, I wrote how a friend of mine was limited to backing horses to win $10.00.

My post raised eyebrows and doubt with Fastmoney and Diva.

I reckon this thread about Tabtouch, more than proves the point.

Yes, I know that Tabtouch are not as financial as Tabcop, but restricting multiples to win $1.43 as Hash states, just shows how infamntile and ridiculous these companies have become.

I will criticise the disgraceful manner in which Punta have been treated by RWWA and the powers that be, forever and a day.

However the fact is, unless I'm wrong, that there is nothing preventing them operating on Sunday, Wednesday where they used to operate, and Thursday.

Punta have chosen for whatever reason, not to operate on those days, and that is entirely up to them.

But I wouldn't think you can blame Tabtouch for that, Rio.

Punta have to get permission from individual clubs, but even then I think it has to be rubber stamped by RGL as their laws state the bookie has to be on site. I think they got away with it for a while based on paying a stand fee but not being there. But I also think they may have got nabbed for doing that.

All that from memory and probably not 100% accurate, but along those lines. It's back to you can only field if you have a stand on course

The only reason we can operate on a Friday is because we have a server at Gloucester park and there is a race meeting on at that venue each Friday.
To bet on other days without physically being on course we would need a server on other courses that are conducting a meeting on that day.
We hit brick walls at one trotting club because they said they were sponsored by tabtouch and RWWA would not like the competition!!!
Almost 2 years ago we applied to RGL that we be allowed to operate on ANY day of the week from a single office at Gloucester park. We have been stymied and stonewalled for 2 years, still no approval despite spending thousands on a robust and secure server that will handle all WA bookies if required.

The only choice we have is to stand on course on the particular day, something we choose not to do in this modern day. We would prefer to compete evenly with the corporates but that is not allowed in WA.
Level playing fields DO NOT EXIST in WA.

That last line says it all, Diva, and you won't get an argument from me about that.

You don't want to operate on track on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday or Friday.

If that is because you are not interested at all in betting on those meetings, that's fair enough.

But if you are, and believe that you cannot do so until the current legislation is changed, then I have a question.

Is there anything preventing you sending one staff member to the track on those days, setting up your board, keeping every horse way under the odds and holding virtually nothing on track, while conducting a "proper" book off track from your Gloucester Park office for your internet clientele.

Or do the prices you offer off track, have to mirror those you are betting on course.

I would think that whatever else RWWA CAN control, they cannot control either  who you decide to allow to bet with you, or more particularly, the prices that you decide to offer your internet clients.

Anyone limited by TabTouch for fixed odds check your account.

Just had my fixed odds limit (on everything) cut from $750 to $300 (including stake).

Getting hard to make a quid.
