Mind you they are playing the best team in the comp.
They were very, very ,forward in their prep early in the year because of their draw, is that going to come back and bite them on the arrse?
He gets them up and about, early wins, top 4 assured...would not be surprised if they are doing a bit of a mini pre season as we speak, they'll freshen up come the last couple of weeks and be firing on all cylinders come finals.
Having said that, Hawks are going a mile better than I thought they would...

Hawks looked good but the Dockers were simply abysmal.
Very interesting few weeks coming up for the Eagles, hard to get a line on last night as you just don't know where Adelaide were because of their tragic situation. The season starts to get real for them from now on.
In saying that though some of the eagles ball movement was simply electrifying and I've only watched the first half so far.
It was of a different standard and style that I've seen from the Eagles during their entire history, I love the fearless manner in which they're playing and willingness to use the corridor and keep to the corridor as much as is possible and there's no doubt that they now have immense confidence and belief in playing the style of footy that they are under Simpson.
Kudos to the likes of Masten, Priddis etc who have tremendously improved their disposal, probably Priddis improvement is down to the fact that he's no longer stuffed from having to fight the centre square battles almost singlehandedly.
They're genuinely exciting to watch currently when they get on a roll, their skill level has improved out of sight and I haven't been able to say that they're genuinely exciting to watch for years and years.

Poor Suma picked the wrong day to have to sit next to Ross. Usually Kirky gets the gig. Bet you his left ears hurting. :))

Fremantle can't keep playing Duffield he's never coped with pressure.
Thought it showed that he was running back into his best form again myself as indicated by his 79% disposal efficiency and 9 tackles against the lions in atrocious conditions the previous week.
No doubt his form earlier this season wasn't that flash but thought he was one of the few Freo players on the improve in recent weeks.
Don't think he was an orphan among the Dockers who gave up goals either.
If both teams current form is in any indication whatsoever I can't wait until the Eagles play the Dockers again.
The Dockers draw during this part of the season will see them safely into a top 2 spot unless they suddenly completely fall apart but they would have to lift significantly on the last couple of months form to be having any impact in the finals. Still think the Hawks and Sydney's form is somewhat questionable as well.
Swans defense not holding up as well as they have been in previous years and am still not sure how impressive the Hawks actually were yesterday and they should have been beaten by the pies recently who I'm confident we'll handle this week.
So there are few questions marks for mine, definitely over us (Eagles), Fremantle, Hawthorn and Sydney but if there are a few question marks over them then there's a plethora of questions hanging over the rest of the teams in the 8.
Don't think its cut and dried among the top 4 by any stretch of the imagination just yet but the hawks are entitled to be slight favourites.
