Agree Gilga wouldn't have won anyway. People talking through either bias or pocket or they have no idea whatsoever.

Legless she is heading there but there are a few options

Dunno about won but with a decent run he would have been right in that I reckon

Wasn't good enough on the day. Shoulda, woulda, coulda holds no stock with me. Would like to see it in the Straddy tho.

Should never have been buried back on the fence to start with..... But I suppose that's what you get when you take a peanut interstate to ride in a G1

3rd would've been handy for those of us that had him in a decent multi. Grrrr.
Even if the above was not the case it was an average ride to be honest.

After missing the kick, a decent stress decent run ...the ride looked poor but don't know what other options he had. In a 1200m, missing the start is realistically tear up tickets time.

As magoo83 said - stay off the rail. In several of his wins BHB has put himself into the race and got going before the corner by going wide. Today he didn't get clear till the 200. He's come from 14th at the 200 to run 4th. IMO the number one instruction today should have been to stay off the rail.

Unfortunately won't be as well weighted in the Stradbroke.

    Should get around 54 kg

Proved that he should never come back to WA as he is up to the class to stay over there .

Looked like he would benefit from the hit-out. Doing his best work late so the 1400m should be ideal.
Certainly worth a throw at the stumps

Remember it is 1350 at Doomben which to me will not be as suitable as 1400 at EF would have been.

Hope they give him a run in a lead up. Seeing the velodrome for the first time, 1st up in the Straddy would be a big ask

Only 3 weeks so maybe not legless.

Doomben would suit him I'd say
Provided he gets a nice tow into it before straightening,
And doesn't get buried behind a wall of asses

Got a feeling they will step it up with jock selection this time

Apparently Sigley told Queensland radio this morning that if BHB gets around 53kg he would definitely be looking for a jockey as he does not want to use Smith if he has to waste.

Glenn Smith confident he can make weight on Black Heart Bart (53.5kg) in Straddy, horse arrived in Bris on Fri morn after long road trip.

    I can't see it happening.

Probably will get a start by the looks of it

Would have thought road to Melbourne, few days in a paddock then flight to Brissy.

Hopefully the trip hasn't taken too much out of him
