Ok, looking for thoughts about the chances of Chester Road in the Cox Stakes. I haven't minded his two runs after the long spell. He is drawn a little better as well, I honestly thought he would be a little longer odds than the $11 quoted this morning. Has he more improvement in him than the likes of Bass Strait, Ihtsahymn etc? Also, this could be the last of the campaign for Elite Belle, she's not in the Perth Cup as far as I can see, she is a deserving favorite For sure.

I'd be keen about Travinator around 3.8 at the moment. I think the benefit of having that last prep after the operation, now has come back with what looks to be an uninterrupted prep this time in, and a hot trial which was certainly was franked yesterday with Ignition blowing them away yesterday.

I wouldnt discount Balmont Girl in the St Leger either. As good as Real Love is, i still think ratings play a part here. She certainly has the class and i dare say they wouldnt have scrathed from the main event for nothing...without looking up the stats, from memory favs tend to get burned in this race, Cohort and Ranger spring to mind both owned by Peters at the time.

    My 2c :-B

Maybe, but two years ago Pop Culture won as a $1.75 fav (after a nice 4th in the KT Classic to Luckygray)

Balmont Girl did beat Real Love in the Oaks and Natasha earlier in the year, although I think Real Love is the horse that has improved most since then!

Don't really like Chester Road, think Ihtsahymn could make his impact in this race, S.Parnham back on board, won this race last year (with a featherweight), runs this time in have been good, been beaten on average on 3 lengths, drawn well.

Personally ill be on Chester Road I remember Durrant saying he is working very well at home just needed a few runs back and this will be the race they are targeting. I think you can expect a big improvement out over the 2100 with the race suiting him better can get $17/$4.40 now sure Punta could even do a little better for you ;)

I am going head to head with Sonny (is that allowed?)

    Race 4 - Bradford Badboy - $40 win. $78 place.

    Race 7 - Chester Road - $100 each way.

Going a little wide I know, but I reckon Bradford Badboy will show great improvement, better barrier, positive jockey change and good record at the distance. Chester Road should be peaking now.

Good luck Sonny, may one of us boost the total.

Maybe ask @Chris to do a poll to decide how to finish off!

We still have three meetings including Perth Cup Day.  If we bet on Wednesday (ATA), otherwise two Saturday level meetings to go.

How about the normal 2 next week and the final week, divide whatever is left into 4 equal shares.

The 2 who's turn it is and the 2 biggest winners...based on dollars won, not physical size!!!! haha

I think give all the punters left the balance split between them and let us all have a crack and see what happens nothing ventured nothing gained
