@notapunta The Derby was brilliant the atmosphere at the Curragh was brilliant not to mention the quality horses on show. Would highly recommend adding both Royal Ascot & The Irish Derby to your bucket list.

Went to royal ascot for British champions day. Got to watch Frankel's final race live :D Where is the curragh track?

Royal Ascot is brilliant. The Curragh is in County Kildare not far from the Irish National Stud and the K club golf course.

My cousin got married on that Saturday in Derry, but I did make it down the following day for the f & m gr 1 & the gr3 that a horse I have been following ran in. Went to Coolmore the next day for the afternoon and Ballydoyle for a viewing.

Whilst in the area, Pat Flynn saw me posting on Facebook, and invited me around, so we stayed an extra night in the South. Has been a fun trip so far and I may return for another race meeting before coming home on late July.
