Anyone know the latest with Smoko ? Not seen since November. Thought he was only going to be out a few months. Can't see anything on the Price (trainer) website.

    Pretty sure they said on radio has started doing a bit of serious work last week and should be back at trials in a couple of weeks.

    I have spoken to Ross P recently and I have been told he is back in work.

    I couldn't tell you where the horse is at in his preparation, because I wasn't there to play a game of 20 questions with the trainer :-@

    It was more out of curiosity than anything else ;)

    hahahaha....

    I'll ask him again when I next see him at the races.

    But personally, I try not to ask too many questions to the trainers on race days, as I believe they have enough on their minds as it is.

    I'm more incline to just say hello, and wish them all the best with their runners, especially if I don't have too much (or any) of an association with their horses, as is the case with both Ross & Clint ;)

    Ross Price gave a good update in the interview with Wes after Foxalicious won yesterday. Smoko has had some minor setbacks, but nothing that is of any major concern I believe ;)

    Beaufine 1st up ,then Newmarket,Goodwood ,Farnley ect ect if he stays sound he will win the lot hard held ,i see JT has Barakey and Magnifisio trialling on Monday ?? to high rated to target the above races ? strange move i would have thought its a bit early to be getting them ready for the Winterbottom so maybe a trip east is on the cards
