It has been a while since I have seen a 2 year old nominated in an all age maiden! 1400 at Pinjarra Sunday.

Any other recent examples?

Incorrect. That was not an all-age maiden. It was restricted to 2 and 3yo's.
Southern Drawl ran last at Northam in an AAMDN 30/6/11 as a 2yo.

From my noodle (with a little bit of help from CRIS)
Seriously, I just remember certain things. It might be "some horse trained by so and so". Hop onto the CRIS website, check the runners and say "yep, that's the horse".
On this occasion, the first horse I thought of didn't fit the criteria. It took me two bites of the cherry.
I'm sure I'd be a better punter if I had a database with all the stats but I'm a simple old fashioned punter. I like to have a feel for things. So far in my experience, feel has been good enough.
It is inevitable that one day I will go the way of the dinosaurs and only the statistical gurus and bean counters will be left.
