Some very interesting points in the wagering and prizemoney sections.

Total AU Wagering:
Thoroughbred (up 62% since '95/'96)
Harness/Greyhound (up 114% since '95/'96)
Sports (up 2200% since '95/'96) <- not sure if that is correct (anyway it is up from $143m to $3.3b)

note: the rate of inflation for that period is approx. 47%

Table 48 (since '89/'90):
Foal crops (down from 23,697 to 15,893)
Total Races run (down from 25,214 to 18,888)
Prizemoney (up from $189m to $428m - which is well above inflation which would be approx. $317m in the same period)

I read a lot of positives out of those facts!

Racing not going as bad as I would have thought massive wagering in NSW they just need to get their hands on more of it.
