He broke a pedal bone and part of his coffin bone in the final 200m of his last race back in Dec 2018 (Nugget heat). Hes been in work since July 31 last year just slowly building up so this trial has been a long time coming.

He puffed and puffed, poor darling. Needs some hard runs so he'll trial 1 or 2 more times. Wants to run and wants to win and hes looking really good. Chirps a little in the stalls but so nice to handle.

Just had a silly thought .....what about planning a Match Race for November/December.....Lavra Joe, Magnificent Storm, Shockwave, Chicago Bull......showcase the world class talent we have. Aim for all 4, if two come on board, it's promo time. Then a…

I know you asked for no negativity. I hadn't seen this thread when, I named Gloucester Park as my favourite track on the racing forum. I don't have anywhere near the knowledge that Jay Jay and others have when it comes to HR, but I do know, that …

Country Cups ....Programming needs to reflect your actual horse population that is racing. Stable return data could be enhanced by adding some indicators of "in work", "spelling" or about to trial or whatever. At the moment, stable returns seem just…

Its been mentioned before but have cup meets as a circuit with a Country Cup King (as per Eastern states). Winner crowned based on points of finishing position in each cup. Cups spaced every 2 weeks. (Not on Monday and then Friday a la Pinjarra, Bun…

Idea #1. At a meet, reduce time between races to 20-25 minutes. To assist trainers, they can register for help at the points in the day they need it. RWWA pays to have 1 or 2 experienced floating staff help as per the registry, whether it be ungeari…

It was basically people whinging about handicapping and wanting C/M brought back.

I had started some research on Daintys Daughter winners but had no time to complete it :( Maybe in the next couple weeks storyline inspiration will hit again

I posted my mother in law (who lives in small town New Hampshire USA - the almost direct opposite side of the globe) a painting from Busselton. Paid slowest postage possible and it arrived 5 days later. Meanwhile, I post something to NSW and it take…

I'm no statistician but from my own analysis (found in a table to the right of the data), for 2017 the price range that sees the greatest percent of horses making profits for buyers is in the $10,000-19,999 price range (62%). (profit = higher prize …

Horses in parade ring and going on track and fireworks stsrt going off ????

Scenes at GP with a crazy smashing through a gate and driving onto the track. If she'd turmed left, would have run headfirst into the mobile and horses. Drove around the track, wouldn't turn car off because she said her car had a bomb in it and wou…

Daintys Daughter is on 19th

the mobile was ordered with an 8 wide barrier but needs 9 for GP.

div> Looking at the abbreviated stewards report - Ryan Warwick fined $400 careless driving - contacted sulky broke - that to me is a bit of a knock on him as a driver - it just seems to happen to him more than some other drivers who also have al…

Challenge accepted ????. Started my article last night boys. Gonna need some help I think though. 1 week to write. Wanna know the topic or do you want a surprise. To all the people complaining that the West doesn't write articles, why don't YOU w…

I have an idea. GP has an ass tonne of unused space. What about getting a brewery on site. Sell the beer in the bars, get brewery traffic in, improve the food and drink offering, make rent off unused space.
-
alright so I often have issues with the horse search function on harness.org not finding names unless the spaces are correct and the groundhog has seen his shadow. One time finding Im theMightyquinn took me about seven days - how the eff do you spel…

There are also multiple "Daintys Daughter" something or other races throughout the year I think which doesn't help. Historical feature race results should be easier to find.

Caribbean Blaster's seem to get better with age. All The Bells couldn't run out of sight in the dark as a young horse - is now a reasonable mare and Caruba gets better and better.
-
Ive got everything past 1999

When did the Dainty's Daughter 3yo fillies classic first run? Is there a list of previous winners and the dates the races were held anywhere? Looking through results from the 90s is proving tiresome
-
Seriously. TEN cartons. oh mate, you're on! Come on Marko - supply me a story

Not sure what that’s about KTQ if you close Albany, Wagin, Narrogin etc, trainers in those areas leave the industry. Losing country trainers is what's got us to this point of having too few horses to hold a meeting

To all the people complaining that the West doesn't write articles, why don't YOU write articles. You have the time to sit on this forum and complain about it don't you? You all seem VERY passionate, very knowledgeable, well written (mostly), well r…

Get rid of the Tuesday trials at GP, pump the lost stakes into tracks like Pinjarra, Bunbury and Northam and get a base of horses to work from. Forget about turnover for five minutes and fix the cause not the problem. and lose the final country str…

I don't think that is a solution......Tuesday meetings at GP, however poor they may appear, are a good turnover vehicle and they do carry $60k in stakes which would be lost to participants. M Radley was on SEN Talking Harness they asked him a cou…
