It's not uncommon at that track for those kind of errors or changes to trial fields to go uncorrected in the official recordings, It is dissapointing if thats how it was but not surprising. Either way, I wouldn't have backed that horse on the train…

Haha, Got the Menuhin / Bring out the Violins jest... Very funny, took a while... [/quote]

Had Blinkers on it's last race start before this one. Regardless of what gear they trialled the horse in a stable return would have been required to have the blinkers removed from it's racing gear. Should be some penalty, I recall a fine of $100 b…

Yes you are correct, the amount of "interesting rides" and actual enquiry's / disqualifications is an anomaly for sure. Trainers get hauled in for every discrepancy, owners get to cop costs for horses sent back to trials etc due to bad runs / misbe…

My Bad, I didn't insuate that the ride was the reason he was stood down - simply that the bad ride and subsequent standing down / possible enquiry is indicative of a problem with the Jock. I was dissapointed with the ride, hence my enquiry. Not lo…

And on that note, do you find it acceptable for a Jockey riding your horse in the front half of the field to stop riding it before the post? May have been a length behind the 5th horse past the post, got nothing to do with not being riddent to the l…

"Poor ride" is a diplomatic statement. He had no cause to get stuck behind those five other horses in the first place or get buried in traffic. Could have had the run of the race, chose not to and lost accordingly.

Right horse, different opinions. From where that horse jumped today and how it wins races he should have kept it more forward and ridden it to the line as it was responding to the rding style of stick, hands and heels and yet when he saw he couldn'…

Nice ride to Felicity Ives on Imabutu, Well done

Fair comment, pretty sad that all acounts list the horse with Blinkers and it raced without them. On course announcement or not the rest of the world should be advised accordingly... Given the arguments stewards make for sending horses back to tri…

From watching the race on Menuhin, looked like he pulled the horse up early, then sat on it the last 50m and cost the owners a place or even perhaps a win had he ridden it better earlier... Just my thoughts. Chemical spill is interesting... Can't…

At least he has a crack at them, I would prefer a Jockey that takes initiative and try's hard for you than one that makes excuses...

What Happened to Rayce Nielson? Passenger on Menuhin, and off his next ride, any news?

Nothin funny mate, some people just like trying to keep people down. He is a good Apprentice and will have a very successfull future ahead of him. Rode one for me last year and it was a difficult ride which he was honest about and I appreciated t…

Haha, Great topic! I always had an interest in horses, but best thing was while staying with my Dad for a time at age 11 - we wagged school for a day to go to Belmont and he gave me a couple of dollars to punt with -won a few dollars - had designs o…

Just a question - what part of the horse has to cross the line first? Going by the photo, Alabameramer a clear hoof in front... Why does this not make the margin???

Any news on how your mare went? should have positive 45 day about now?

Take a leaf from Kalgoorlie's book - re "The Rebel Road". There has to be enough poeple with funds and brains and access to resources between the people concerned to fix this over a quiet weekend. If the powers that be wont get it together in fix …

It's been a while since I was on a stud, but have they considered she may not be in season (an oh derr question i know)? We used to have many mares not want to be covered until they were right bang on ready - the best way to check was with scans to…

There's gonna be a fall? There are "falls" all the time. I have had the privilege of being an unfortunate owner of a horse who was nothing other than victim in one such incident (not at Albany, but provincial). 3rd in the line of interferance from…

The costs involved vary greatly from stable to stable depending on the quality of horse, trainer and the stakes available where they are racing. I think you would be hard pressed to find a trainer charging less than $50 a day plus expenses (Farrier…

Seriously, Get a grip. Kalgoorlie by stakes and class of horse is the next in line for class following Belmont / ascot. Pinjarra / Bunbury etc race a much weaker class of horse with lower stakes. Kalgoorlie's biggest downfall is location which ca…

Pretty funny no-one has picked up on it... Fastest horse? Fastest car too at that speed... Don't know how fast planes are but would give them a fair run at that speed I recon.
