R1. Amelia Park Lamb Handicap - Scott Embry
With Shaun O'Donnell back into the saddle I think Back to A Walk can bounce back to his best form and safely account for these. Donga jumps off Wild Charger to stick wth the Poletti trained gelding and he should get a lovely run from barrier 1 behind speedster Corporate Larrikin who will roll along out in front until atleast the furlong before feeling the pinch. Provided O'Donnell is off the fence by then he should be winning. Wild Charger is the second leg of a very popular quinella. First-up effort was tremendous coming off the back of the speed with the Need a Lift form already helding up nicely. Drumnoorum should be almost ready to rock and roll and his first-up effort chasing Inok was encouraging.
3. BACK TO A WALK - 1. WILD CHARGER - 7. DRUMNOORUM
SUGGESTED BET - 3. BACK TO A WALK $50

Banking Sheidel into Delicacy does look on paper as if it could well be easy money, however, nothing is sure in racing. Tackles her toughest opposition yet and the $1.50 on offer is short but she looks pretty sweet. Will find the fence from barrier 4 and dictate, with only 55kg she will take some serious catching. Need A Lift is the main danger but 59kg is an ask, especially trying to catch a leader who has beaten rivals by 2.8, 3.3, 3.3 and 5 lengths her last 4. True Storm could well sit behind Sheidel from barrier 2 and try to run that Gloucester Park type 1-8 exact leaders back should Need a Lift not find top gear.
5. SHEIDEL - 1. NEED A LIFT - 6. TRUE STORM
SUGGESTED BET - 5. SHEIDEL $100
Chinetti has suffered Cardiac Arrhythmia three times in his short career, twice on the track and once at the trials where he has stuggled to beat a horse home, understandably so. His first-up record is unblemished, 2 from 2 and his 1000m record imposing, 3 wins from 5 starts. Should settle just off the speed and prove very hard to hold out. Everyone knows that Our Pu Bear is one of my true favourites, squeezed $31 eachway out of the lads at PUNTA last start and will be giving some of it back again this weekend, I just can't leave him out. Will lead to the 100m and only carries 51.5kg. Same goes for Shengmu who carries only 52.5 and beat Magnifisio in a recent barrier trial.
7. CHINETTI - 8. OUR PU BEAR - 9. SHENGMU
Malibu Style showed in his last preparation that he had the potential to be a top 3 year old for Neville Parnham and he takes on the older opposition here. Trial behind Chinetti was super and while barrier 10 is a definite put off I think he can work across and find a position in running. Effort in the Listed Placid Ark behind Liberty's Gem was a cracker only beaten a short neck and did win first-up emphatically last campaign. Terror Force has been my on top selection at its past two and they have both been relatively luckless efforts having to weave through traffic like a Thai Taxi Driver. Exepct the Pontiff will settle back and unleash late, $15 an attractive price. Eurosun has more wrap on him then a 3 year old's Christmas Present however, he's been scratched 3 times now with a number of minor issues. Over a month since his trial, proceed with caution.
8. MALIBU STYLE - 2. TERROR FORCE - 3. EUROSUN
Bob Peters probably already has his winners speech written and he can let ANZ know that another $152 000 will be deposited within 2-5 working days. Delicacy looks home, it's as simple as that. Won the 1000 Guineas by 3.5 lengths, won the Natasha by 1.8 lengths and should realistically be sowing the Oaks up by atleast 2 lengths. Neverland isn't running so I'm happy to bank Delicacy. Boutique was my super roughie in the Natasha and I had a nibble at the 20-1 on offer the place and was happy enough with the run, whacking away into 5th. Could position up a little closer this time and be finishing in the cheques. Keysbrook has been good in both the listed preludes and many will lock the $1.60 place price into their multies. Spectacular Vision graduates from a 2000m Tatura Tuesday maiden event paying $5.60. Tatura is 167km North of Melbourne for those like me who had to look it up. She is the unknown.
1. DELICACY - 5. BOUTIQUE - 2. KEYSBROOK
SUGGESTED BET - 1. DELICACY $100
Finally the Sugar Hill Gang "Apache" lyrics are in play, "Tonto, jump on it, jump on it, jump on it". If you don't know the song do yourself a favour and brighten up your day by listening to it. Tonto was attacking the line behind a tiring Battle Hero last start but unable to bridge the gap beaten 0.8 lengths. He picks up a 1.5kg advantage here and I think we can see a reversal of the placings. Jason Whiting is an accomplished staying hoop and I'm backing him to press the button at the right time and sweep to the lead with 100m to run. Battle Hero the obvious danger and deserving favourite, won 4 in a row including back to back Listed victories. Had to do all the work in the rain last start and out stayed them but another 2 furlongs is the question here. Special Delivery should get a cosy run probably three back the fence and could potentially add some value to our standout trifecta.
2. TONTO - 1. BATTLE HERO - 8. SPECIAL DELIVERY
SUGGESTED BET - 2. TONTO $50 x $50
Lucky Street should be kicking over the half million dollar mark in this event and taking career earnings to $554 950 plus Westspeed Bonus'. He has been simply sensational this preparation winning both the 2 year old Magic Millions and Perth Stakes by 2.5 lengths. Drawn perfectly in barrier 3, Trevor Andrews has said throughout that he would have the Oratorio Colt peaking for the Karrakatta and he looks poised to book himself a Stud Career. Military Reign was desperately unlucky in the Gimcrack and the Stewards Report doesn't do her anywhere near justice. She worked unpaid overtime and only faded late into a gallant fourth. $5.50 the place is a very good investment and it won't last, expect more like $3.00 come raceday. Pushin' Shapes looks like he will relish 1200m and was given a tough run last start and still attacked the line. He should figure in the trifecta. All the best to PTTers and their filly Essayez, no doubt PunterPete will be tipping her once or twice in the coming days.
1. LUCKY STREET - 12. MILITARY REIGN - 3. PUSHIN' SHAPES
SUGGESTED BET - 1. LUCKY STREET $100

Hopefully we can end a favourites day with some value and get Satan's Dancer across the line. Rises 3.5kg on her last start effort and drops back to the mile. I think Lucy will find the lead very comfortably and control the pace of the race. From there she should get a great chance at holding off the swoopers and posting a start to finish victory. Thunderclap Newman is drawn very awkwardly in barrier 14 but has shown he is an ever improving gelding. 1600 should suit but there are too many blow-out chances for me to be jumping aboard yet another favourite in the last. Silver Plated is a true gentleman, a massive grey gelding having his 8th start as an 8 year old. More than capable of winning this. Prentice, Steel Spur, Galaxon, Highly Secret, Night Prowler and Liberty Rise are the others I'll be having in my quaddie, not sold on the favourite as a good thing.
7. SATAN'S DANCER - 6. THUNDERCLAP NEWMAN - 2. SILVER PLATED
