Don't know the proper header to put this under but i just thought I'd start a thread for people who own animals that are having a run and want to give other forumites a heads up whether they will be in with a chance or not. Thoroughbreds, trotters, dogs or whatever!!!!

We have Fizza Ma Wizza coming back for her first run this campaign at Narrogin on Friday.. She did well in a soft trial and generally goes well fresh, so probably an e/w chance but may be too short to be at genuine e/w value.. Definitely worth putting in the novelties and should improve on whatever she does Friday.

Good luck on Friday Rio. Are any of your two year olds close to racing Rio?

thanks IM, nup wont be able to get down unfortunately....a chq of any type would be good.

As long as they get clear running coming onto that straight, it gives all types of horses a chance..

    Of course.

I don't mind Narrogin racetrack at all. A few enjoyable days spent there. The early part of the drive home into that sun is the only negative.

Got Helder The Painter in Wednesday R6 very good winning chance and Ningaloo Bkitz in on Saturday and God only knows what she will do...

  • SLIPPERGOLDENSLIPPERGOLDEN    8,415 posts
Ningaloo owes us nothing Thoroly. Have you built that stable for her in your backyard yet for when she is retired or is she getting the spare room?

Corner? You mean that 90 degree angle before the 350m straight :)

Nice idea this thread, hats off to you Rio.

I have Jewel Castle in race 1 at Penrith on Thursday. Definitely a field she can beat but she's drawn the inside of the backline which makes life tough on that track.

I hope the 1 is a good beginner @G-Mac as you know it can make all the difference at Penrith.

Word from the stable this morning. Not very confident at all as she has a bad record on tight tracks. She corners like a camel so she needs some space. She needs the run though as there is nothing suitable at Menangle for a couple of weeks.

Yes Penrith is one of those old fashioned tight tracks that are still in existence. Can make for interesting racing.

Great that Narrogin is still going. Loved York and Toodyay , once racetracks are closed they are closed forever. Country racing has always been for me a good day at the races , be it not always a profitable day. Places like Mt Barker Narrogin etc , keep them open I say , racing isn't all about midweek city meetings.

Have FO' SHIZZLE running at Narrogin in the last of the day. Hoping to see if there's any hope she's a stayer, as she's a little too slow to be a sprinter... :)

Now the kids are up looking to get back into part ownership here or the in east

I looked into one offered here for a ten per cent slice the fees were not that less than a good ES stable training agistment wise

Happy to pay more an have one or two in good stables in the east an maybe one of two here when I retire

Well said Rider and you can add Beverley to those tracks in the Avon Valley

I think Stewart Shenton or Trevor Jenkins always said in their opening remarks 'Welcome to beautiful Beverley'

I thought Fo shizzle was a really encouraging run over 2000 last start, impressed me for future staying races
  • GaryHGaryH    1,012 posts
Yep, but was a big step up from the 3 x 1400m races prior in this prep, so it was just good to see she didn't go backwards in the straight (37.15 was only 0.2 sec slower then the winner).

So 1700m should be a good way to test her......

I've got shares in Wombie's Legacy having a start saturday arvo. Won midweek last week will be bottom weight in a 72+ over 1000. Barrier 1 helps his chances :D

She's going well but a majority of the owners are getting upset about a lack of 1's in her form line. The same bunch who thought it is 'much easier in NSW'. Who knows what is next. I think there is a perfect race coming up in a couple of weeks at Menangle for her so I hope I'm still an owner then.
