If the track is heavy or maybe slow Kav has said she will not be starting.

Expecting heavy-ish showers until Wednesday, then just light showers.

Bookies will be happy if he scratches her - loads of all-in money on her!
  • TheDivaTheDiva    13,248 posts
will be a better betting race without her too I would think.

disagree completely diva, reckon shes half a chance to not run a place. Way better betting race with her in it

Those that bet pre-post on other runners would be very happy, not only have their runners increased their chances, but there are no deductions.

Real shame if she retires with an injury like that - atleast she went out a winner!

the real Kramer likes the fact that one of Australia's best horses has done a tendon. Pretty ordinary if you ask me!

God you would be devastated if you got on the early markets...soooo close.
Open race now after her scratching.

Apparently she is going to be retired.she worked brilliantly this morning, it was only after she cooled down that they discovered the tendon problem. It was not the leg which ruled her out previously .

Therealkramer has an all-in bet on Fiorente that would have had less chance had the mare raced. $-)

I thought as much still reckon it might have been one I let go through to the keeper. Good luck on Saturday anyway mate every cloud does have a silver lining. Must admit bit disappointing the bookies got one up after her scratching.

Did anyone else catch the barrier draw this morning, the real interesting part was when Richie Callandar and Craig Williams got into fairly heated verbal exchange over jockey suspesions etc over the spring carnival.

Have to say I agreed with Richie on this one - if you're suspended - you're suspended, financial punishments or allowing suspensions to be moved so jocks can ride in big money races is ludicrous - why have suspensions if they can be so easily manipulated?

Also noted that Kav didn't know anytime throughout the broadcast that AJ was to be scratched.  Must have happened well after she cooled down.

Would be interesting to know a noted punt drunk like Richie's thoughts if he's backed Zonda last wednesday had Oliver been gun shy because he didn't want to get suspended. I have said before, I would rather back a jockey who  rides aggressively and cops the odd suspension than one who is not trying.

@dungy, think a lot of people are of the same opinion as you in regards to Richie - but I will say he is one of the few media broadcasters who will actually say what their thinking and don't always just dribble the same old lines everytime.

On Sunday he got into Bruce Clarke (who told him to shut up 4 times) and he let him know he had a right to his opinion.

TVN generally are more political than Sky (duh), but even some at TVN wouldn't dare have an opinion on some subjects.

Ha ha was funny to see Richie and Bruce bicker again on Sunday. I did used to like Richie and i still think he is funny at times. But god he does suck up to Chris Waller, clearly got a vested interest with him. Although he says "hes one for the punters", i would challenge this as ive contacted him many times in social media i.e. twitter and heard nothing...Even big name jockeys have the time to respond to even meer nobodies such as me, but he struggles.

The fact is Bruce is the host who doesnt usually take sides, but Richie loves to fight with him. Best of luck to him.

I found when he came over for last years Super Saturday, and unless I missed him (not sure how you could), he wasn't out with punters, but rather hidden away in the air conditioning!

Unless he is following you on twitter then I dont think you are able to post or tag him in conversations and therefore he can not reply... I could be wrong though cause i'm not quite full bottle on the twitter situation ;-)

The same feeling I had when I backed Efficient in all carnival only to jump off him on cup day for some raider I can't even remember by name, or don't want to try...

I will be on the grey come cup day...

My 3 e/w bets will be Rekindled Interest, Foreteller and Mull Of Killough.

I think it track stays soft/heavy then MOL could come right into contention. Would love to see Steven Arnold win a big race feature. MOL run in the Singapore Cup was huge and drawn well.

Agree mate ,last start they sent it out at 30s after a ripping 4th to IADD and AJ if it was with a bigger stable it would have been 8s or shorter

Ditto for me, horse owes me nothing after last time. Will be having another dip for sure.

Yeah, on weights, I think it should beat home IADD and PDL going back through the form. Even going back to the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
  • LuckyLongshotsLuckyLongshots    4,270 posts
I was on last start at 30's, but for mine this horse has no form at Moonee Valley - hopefully from the barrier draw he will sit much closer than the Turnbull run, so the short straight shouldn't be too much of a problem.
