Tipping a $1.40 fav then cheering and celebrating when something else beats it... You've confused me here

I actually got the tip from a professional greyhound punter - he is easily the best I have ever seen - puts in very long hard study. He said during the week just at a glance that the Britton dog would be too good. But after looking thru the form he phoned me late Saturday after Ascot races and said that the #8 just wins. Said the 715m would be too far for the Britton dog up against a much stronger finisher. He's a freak!!
Didn't think the Britton dog would start so short - $1.40 was a joke over the 715m, as the dog had only race twice over that distance.

Perhaps you should post your certainty after you`ve had your final conversation with the best pro punter you have ever seen.

Have you gone to early Tom.

Last week you declared one on raceday, then you got the late mail and never told us.

Is this the final tip from the best punter you have ever seen or are we waiting for the late phone call on Saturday?

Ok make fun all you like - he's the best dog judge, mark my works. Outstanding!!!

We're not making fun of him.......

You dont see the funny side in you posting a 2's on pop early in the week as a moral only to change to the winner after the race, then the very next week list another 2's on pop as a special? I mean, surely that makes you chuckle...especially with the logid "he" used.

Brittons dog wasn't 2's on during the week - it was backed into $1.40 mins before the race...that's why Freeway Ace paid $8.30 when it should have been $3.00.
Ya lost me - what was the another one the very next week? :-?

I was following the betting pretty closely on the race actually as I had a runner in it. I was very keen to see how they backed FA in his first start over the journey after his 640m runs, and understandably there was a bit of caution.

Although the one closed at 2's on, there wasn't that much movement in the dying minutes and she was rarely over even money...every fair dinkum punter would have saved on FA at those prices.

Didn't you come out and declare this thing in the first Sat night? Better than Pedrosa or soemthing...That'll be odds on, maybe evens, too.
