"The Voice" and "looking forward to" don't seem right in the same sentence.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing Robbie Dolan sing.
I believe there is a reality show where we can see him perform.

Ipad on the lap and watch in-between ads on TV.
But the way my punting is going at the minute maybe my time would be better spent (A) studying the form or (B) talking to the missus.

    (A) (A) (A) (A).....Haha. :-@

    Its time Det!
For a while I have found the show is watchable and it unearths some genuin3le talent but tbh Rita is the reason I watch mainly.

no i do not watch it but seeing the ads...urban is here for how long and where is his missus?

I'd watch the Voice, but can't cop the overdone antics of the judges, who carry on like they were just told they won 100 million in powerball. The stars of the show are the singers, not the overpaid, over rated judges.
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
Your right BL I've commented similarly, very wish washy the judges but that type of bs appeals to a lot with reality TV of different kinds all the younger ones go gaga women too, the talent makes it bearable and the good sort i've mentioned too.
Bearable as I say but reality television generally is something I avoid religiously, it's all horseshit.

Falc, Urban has had this gig for at least 2 years it could be longer, unsure of their living arrangements but I think they were based in Sydney at one stage(have a palace there I believe), unsure on that however..she would wanna keep a close eye on him if at all possible lol

i thought she was all over the globe making movies...don't the ads drive you nuts?
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
Ads for what The Voice? Nah I rarely watch free to air TV, I watch 7mate sometimes and an occasional show on 9 mainly rugby league but rarely so no, bs ads for whatever crap their peddling doesn't affect me mate.

FTA tele is roughly 90 % crapola imo

3 nights in still no sign of Robbie Dolan ffs, think he is on episode 4 Monday.

    Thoughts so far DET?
I don't have many, the "corn" is there nice and thick when we hardout copy the yanks do we have to copy the bs they cake thickly on everything also..seemingly the answer is yes and Jess Mauboy is the worst.

Standouts? there have been a few but the woman last night(don't recall her name)who wrote and performed a song about Keith Urban..was professional as can be she killed it..I see her going far.

I have been waiting for Robbie TS and having to paw through a fair chunk of the performers to get there.
The producers tell the judges to turn their chairs through their ear pieces.
If you have a great voice and no back story you don`t get a gig.
I was moved by the 16 yo girl who got taken in by her "battler" grand parents cause her mum was a drug addict and couldn`t look after her.
I also liked the ex rugby playing bushy in thongs with the gravelly voice. My type of music.
His Mrs wasn`t too bad on the eye either. And very fertile with 4 kids. Haha.
I always go to the dark side. Haha.
    B-)

Yeh the big fella was pretty cool hey, went with Keith Urban I think?
Have been a few decent ones, pity if it is staged like you suggest and wouldn't surprise me..hence why I'm generally not into "reality" bullshizz.
Dolan is on Monday its been a fair wait and some cringe to endure that's for sure.

Also, hopefully Rita will be in a new outfit soon err the purple one has too much material, she is so fine, a buxom goddess! :x

I am to some degree H, however..natural rules imo i am pretty sure Miss Rita is a full figured natural woman.

I was actually going to say something about Paige the other day but thought it might make me sound picky..she is h o t hot and I would love her for ever(or for a minute) but..I think their pump-ups hers? Lol.

He is a bit raw but has great natural talent I like the lad, as a side note she towers over him too I had dominatrix thoughts briefly :))

Boo!! He got knocked out Rita picked the other guy who was just a bit more polished i suppose.

Wonder if he will pursue recording some music..I don't think the jockey gig is going superlatively at the minute so if there were offers it would be well worth a crack.
Wonder how much mentoring they actually get? reckon not a lot, nature of the show I guess.
I enjoyed his singing and some others but i don't think I'll watch it again.

So wasn't gonna watch but am having a look at the semi final, the islander dude Jordan who sang first up was sensational and the lady of African heritage Thando was great too, this first part of the show was fairly emotional too stuff me.
One of them arguably wins it but it's fair to say my judging of musical talent skills may not be great.

    A couple of observations
1.Rita is peaking tonite at about 10.9/10 bloody hell :x :x she looks amazing and more subtlety with the make-up is a great move imo what a glamour!

    2. I'll try not to be too sexist or non p.c here,
Sonia Kruger is a very attractive woman for her age really she is arguably even hot, however idk if it's just me but honestly put some more clothes on girl, she has dressed like a single mum 25 years her junior and out on the pull while the ex has the kids :D
Beautiful mature aged woman without question just pretty critical of the attire or lack of, should dress like a lady please.
Feel like a bit of a geek posting this lol but stuff it that's my 20c worth on the Voice to date.

Lane has got a future. Only 15. Needs to find a personality though.
Keith gave him a dud song tonight. Didn’t seem comfortable with it.
So many other songs he could have sung with more range.
The chick gave a better performance but can’t stand that type of songstress. Sounds like dragging your fingernails down a chalk board.
There…..that is my 20 cents worth.
    :D

Yeh he needs some polishing the kid but can make it in show biz was very nervous understandably, reckon his voice still has some developing to do yet too is a bit "monotonal" if that's the right term.

Agree with you re the music of Thando and the later finalist too Faith, their not my cuppa tea style wise..but their big powerful voice performers and that appealed more I guess.

So the big fella Jordan wins it I reckon basing this on talent, he has as much as anyone but also I like him the most..iirc the voting is done by the public however that throws a spanner in the works.
The other women are good too but not my style and I don't like the pretty boy..have a feeling every teen girl in Australia will vote for him though.

Now can I get a bet on I wonder....

Lol yeh stoked as I thought 7 back was too much..

Ok so i had a look mate lol..and the pretty boy Lachie is 1.75 fav, Thando 2.50 and Jordan is 8 bucks..bit restrictive or at the least his long price dents my confidence a bit.

These odds I believe reflect who the corps also think the public will vote for hence my teeny bopper comment..dunno how the big fella will get enough votes, viewers get 3 votes each I believe.
Now i like shorties but could I back that dude idk, don't recall who is his coach is it Rita?

I'm with you on basically every other reality show Falc eg big brother, those married at first vvank shows etc etc..
This show however whilst it has fair amounts of cringe from mainly the host and judges it has some rawness and some genuine people trying their luck for fame and fortune.
You would know maybe someone most years gets to make it to the bigtime so good luck to them..3 of the judges there now all started on a show like this.

Hard to watch the whole hour and a half but it isn't all that bad honestly.

IF you tech savvy skills stretch far enough? Google Robbie Dolan, watch his the voice clips there will be about 3, well worth a watch. Is a likeable young bloke and can really sing.
