Bred to get a trip and has been impressive at his first 2 starts. Doesn't quite know how to put them away yet, but gets to them very easily. I think he could be very good when he stretches out past 10 furlongs.

Backed this team Mcevoy filly on Monday at Ballarat, is a half to Silent Sovereign but could end up better than her being sired by Fiorente.
Only got going very late over the 1400 first time at the races, whilst she was a bit green laying in still able to win well and pulling away.

Three year old filly who won her maiden impressively at Gosford today. Only her second start, just nutted at her debut. Looks like she has good ability and could be one to watch in lesser races over the Autumn Carnival. Joe Pride trained.

Ran fine race last start when second .

Third up this Sat and Is stronger race but drops in weight.

Ridden similar to last start when behind the main pack and come home can be very competitive .

Obvious dangers are Downforce , Holy Ghost.

With Coolongatta likely to head to the Golden Slipper I think this filly is a very good chance in the Blue Diamond next month..liked the win at Caulfield and i think she will like a strong 1200m test.
May even be worth a spec now at $9 or better as that price will be gone when the other one comes out.
Ollie rode it and also rode the colt Philosopher last week, interesting to see which one he goes with.

Staaden - Blackfriars 5 y o who impressively won the Port Hedland Cup ( 2200 m ) 1/8 after second in the Derby Cup ( 1800 m ) 17/7 can complete the double .

Drops 2 Kg on his last start victory and has run two minor placings at only starts on the Broome dirt track .

Trainer R Gulberti has a strong hand with Deception Game - P Hall & Ulusaba - J Lyon considered .

Good winner 17/7 at Port Hedland over 1600 m when well ridden .

Distance is query with failure at only try but drops 4 Kg on last start victory and deserves another attempt at N / W Cup .

Solidly conditioned D Cocivera trained galloper who is ideally drawn in three .

Field is stronger but contains several veteran class stayers .

Obvious dangers are veterans War Class , Montagna , Macavity but with good ride Cleo's Afterparty can figure in finish at each way odds .

Dirt surface in Broome is Problem for many gallopers .

Port Hedland is dirt with grass straight.

Horses from Broome invariably improve in Port Hedland .

Gallopers that are on pace are suited to Port Hedland .

Noted his first up run in the Winx on Saturday. Got lost and spat out the back at a crucial stage, but loved the way he finished the race off. Ran past Master of Wine who has had a lot written about his Spring hopes,

Was scratched from the final event at Wagga today(27/8) as a $2.10fav, and, while I thought it was crying out for more ground, I was still willing to back it today, even from the widest draw.
