Stewards had earlier opened and adjourned an inquiry into actions by leading reinsman Gary Hall Jr after he finished fifth with $2.90 favourite Spirit Of Shard in the fourth race.

Delaney said stewards would further study videos of an incident about 20m past finishing line.

Evidence was last night taken from Hall and reinsman Nathan Turvey, who ran sixth in the fourth event with Parasite ($6.30).

Hall told stewards he did not hear distinctly when Turvey called to him in the race. He had moved close to Turvey after the event, in order to ask Turvey what he had called.

After last night's meeting, Delaney screened for media representatives a video taken side-on of the post-race incident. It showed Hall swing his right arm across towards Turvey, who was on Hall's left side.

"Before the inquiry resumes, stewards will examine videos which were taken from a number of angles," Delaney said. "We want to clearly see what happened in the incident."

I just watched the replay, amazing to say the least, right after the line Hall took a swipe at Turvey, holiday for sure!

I wonder do any forumites ever recall seeing a race between a pacer, cyclist & runner in the past. I remember an event of this nature years ago at Bunbury.

The runner was I think Gaylene Clews an Aust rep who started from a stand at 100 metres (I think). The horse was an American import stallion L Silvertime who was put into work after shooting blanks & the cyclist name I believe was Suckling. They started flying at the 400 metres.

The cyclist slipstreamed the horse into the straight while it looked like the runner going to win easy. But she was caught on the line by the horse & bike in a blanket finish. It was quite spectacular.

Just wondering if anyone else had seen similar ?

This Fremantle Cup is a beauty! Fantastic field, with many chances.

We are lucky to have our local champ Im themightquinn amoungst others up against Washakie. This is going to be a super race where driving tactics will play a major part - the start, the tempo, when to go, who to follow, stamina and speed will all be vital ingredients.

There are six very good conveyancers off the front line who will not give the lead away easy, and you can be sure that whoever leads will not get any peace for too long before the train arrives.

If Has The Answers leads he will be tackled big time midrace I reckon. And then the runs will come. Sitting pretty one out one back could see you next thing out the back door.

And with the likes of Precious Dylan pushing thru, Ima Rocket Star probably three back the fence - it sets the scene for what should be a thrilling race - especially over the three and half laps.

Any thoughts to the outcome - I like "Im themightyquinn".

Race 1.

8. ARTEMIS BELLE (Is all class, very talented filly who should go on her winning way here)
5. ARCH ON FIRE (Ran a solid time when 2nd after leading to Funzova at Northam in 1.59.2, Has ability and gate speed should be up there and run in the money)
6. FUNZOVA (Had world perfect trip when defeating Arch On Fire at Northam and although winning form is good form just not sure whether this filly has come back as good as predicted ; Has the ability and strong Art Major filly should figure in the finish here)
9. MISS BAYPOINT (A winner of 1 race from 12 starts and finished a last start 3rd in the Golden Slipper behind Ohokas Bondy ; thats great form but shes first up from a spell, drawn barrier 9 and has bumped into the Oaks Favourite here)

Race 2.

1. GOLDEN BROMAC (Outstanding previous two starts with wins over the sprint trip in super time at Bridgetown of all places and Narrogin - Has the ace draw and is low flying - Looks the goods here from the draw)
10. ROKEWOOD (Drawn nicely behind the leader and should be an improver - Nice type who did it tough last start then weakening to 8th before that ran 2nd in a midweek GP meeting - Should figure in the finish and if gets run early enough can win the race)
11. UNCLE CRACKER (Not a bad run in the York Cup last Tuesday when 6th to Lord Artois has a reasonable draw on the back row where it will already be in the 2 wide line and has an each way chance at odds in this)
6. ALBY ALBERT (Always figures in the finish but finds it hard to win - First up from a freshen up from an awkward draw will need to get the ace trip to win the race)

Race 3.

3. UNDERTHEINFLUENCE (Has not started in a mobile for a fair while, but use to have good gate speed and has a nice draw. If he can find the front he will be very hard to roll - Go Well)
7. SCRAM JET (Good win last start over the 2100m and no doubt will be heading forward again - Has strong claims in these claimers and a win wouldn't suprise - Keep Safe)
6. CONTE CENTOVALLI (Been racing consistently throughout his career in WA ; mostly in stands though but comes into the claiming events with good claims - Awkward draw but is more than capable)
11. THE HUNTER (Disappointed when dropped out beaten behind Motu Treasure in good time after sitting in the death ; Big drop in class but does its best racing on the pegs and will have to come around the field - Think this horse is a risk tonight)

Race 4.

4. LOMBO NAVIGATOR (Super runs in both the Golden Nugget and McInerney Ford 4yo Classic - Didn't handle the tight track of Narrogin in their cup race but still battled on well into 3rd behind Son Of Fergie - Will make his presence felt in this race)
2. BETTOR STILL (Has a nice draw and is a solid chance - Forget it's last run just settling to far back in the Xmas Gift and they ran a sizzling time - Ran 2nd in the heats off a soft run and ran on well in that - With the nice draw should be considered an each way chance)
10. COUNTRY CHANGE (Good Mare who ran a good last start 2nd behind Jay Cee Ess in a stand a few weeks ago and after a freshen up she should be ready to fire - Has to overcome the wide draw but should be running home strong)
5. WILL IT MATTER (Good winner at Pinjarra in a stand leading all the way and switches to the mobile could be a vast improver in the R.Oliveri stable and has to be kept safe)

Race 5.

2. WHY LIVE DANGEROUSLY (Should lead from the pole position and run a mean mile - Talented horse ran home very well from last when 2nd to Dasher Vc at Pinjarra last start and From the draw here looks very hard to beat)
5. GALVERON (Has been impressive in winning his last three races and Mike Reed coming out in the media saying that he's a "Pacing Cup Horse" has turned a few heads - Will have to win impressively over the next 2 weeks to be considered a chance I thought but he may come out tonight and suprise me - Keep Safe)
10. ELENA S (Good last start 4th behind the Freakish Ima Spicey Lombo after coming from near last and running home well - After that first run back from a freshen up she has a solid chance as she's a good miler and will be running home well)
3. RIGATONI (Should drop in behind the stablemate and can figure in the placings purely for the novelties)

Race 6.

4. AUSSIE TERROR (Won his M0 defeating a moderate field but there was nothing moderate about his run ; 1.54.6 and won very well - Always been a good miler but has really stepped up and in this race it's looks suited to his style of racing - Had sizzling gate speed as a youngster and Aldo may have to use that to cross Falcons Medley - He looks the hardest to beat from the draw)
9. EL PADRINO (Hard run last start when he had no piece after Outsider Lombo Air Express decided to hold it out ; Was able to work to the lead after more pressure came from the early leaders stablemate - Luminous Lombo then sat half a length in front of El Padrino before it tired to run 5th - Shouldn't be as many dramas this week and is very classy is the main danger to Aussie Terror - Keep Safe)
8. HIRLI BIRLI LOMBO (Very rarely runs a bad race and has had a little freshen up since defeating Tex Bromac at GP a few weeks ago - Will have to put a big run to win this on equal terms but if the race is run right has a swoopers chance)
6. TUAPEKA TIZ (Speaking of swoopers this horse can not do any work in this company but driven with a sit has a rough chance of knocking them off)

Race 7.

1. CROMBIE (Great win last start 1.56.6 under a tight hold by driver Morgan Woodley has the ace draw and looks hard to beat also has the gate speed to hold out the exceptionally fast Motu Treasure which makes me think the speed early will be solid - But this is one horse who can do it at both ends. Although you may notice Morgan Woodley will be Rubbernecking most of the race as his main danger is on his back)
10. PRECIOUS DYLAN (Forget about his last run after being KO'd on the run to the line he is one of fastest horses in the country with Point to Point speed it's exceptional he will be on the fence needing that element of luck, but if this horse sees daylight he will make them pay - Keep Very Safe)
6. DASHER VC (Hard to see where this horse will be in the run - Was an outstanding win in the 4yo C'ship sitting outside David Hercules in Track Record time 1.55.2 - This is his first Open Class test and has the ability but the draw is not on his side - Motu Treasure looks unlikely to hand up the breeze so it's just hard to see what this horse will do - Bit of a risk)
5. ALZONA (Is flying - Racing really well at the best time of year to be doing it - Possesses an amazing turn of foot and will be at rough odds here and is always a chance - Each way chance with the right run but it's hard to not have something on this classy horse)

Race 8.

12. PANCHO MAGUIRE (Betting on the safest beginner of the back mark now with A.C.L onboard he looks dangerous in this field - First up from a spell and the only query is how forward he is but Michael Brennan is a very good trainer and this horse has raced well first up since being in his stable - Might be a nice price each way)
11. OHOKA REBEL (Aided with the return of Gary Hall Jnr and this horse is racing really well and ready to win ; Just needs to step to be the hardest to beat - His last start run was great when 2nd to Puhinui Rainbow in a quick 56.6 last half - Looks the hardest to beat)
7. DARK SKY (Racing consinstently without winning and a win is not far away switches back to a stand after a good 2nd a few starts ago to Fast Play - Last start 5th behind Bullets And Bluff and was not disgraced - One for the multiples)
10. PUHINUI RAINBOW (Good win first up last start off Scratch - Handicapped back to 20m with the horse it only shook off in the last stages last week being Ohoka Rebel - Off the same mark as 2 very nice horses and is a chance of winning but may be shorter than last week with lesser of a chance)

Best Bet : R2. N1. GOLDEN BROMAC
Best Each Way : R3. N3. UNDERTHEINFLUENCE
Best Roughie : R7. N5. ALZONA
Quaddie
1L : 2,3,4,10
2L : 2,5
3L : 3,9
4L : 1,5,6,10
$64 For a full unit

Good Luck, Good Punting and Happy New Year

Race 1.

7. HILARIOUS LIFE (Not overally eyecatching last run when 3rd behind Julius Supreme - Looked a touch one paced last start and will appreciate the 2506m trip and in this moderate field looks to be the big chance in this race)
9. GATHERING GEARS (KO'd last run after the start by Takem Easy so forget that run - Previous run 2nd to Rok Reign it was the run of the race and has been knocking on the door - Looks a big danger with the right run, keep safe)
4. ARDEN BANNISTER (Has been sound since arriving in the state ; should be able to work forward into a nice position at the start and can figure in the finish)
1. SIRDREMMA (One of R.Oliveri's weaker horses has the draw to run a race - last run was a better performance and from the draw can figure in the placings)

Race 2.

1. DAV ED ASH (Gets the ace barrier draw and is very hard to beat when he leads - Previous runs from back in the field have been sound but will go close in this race from the draw)
10. ALL IN BABY (Should get the ace run behind the leader and if the opportunity arises it can get a chance to knock off the leader - Will be one for the novelties in any case)
2. FLYIN VEE (Racing well was held up last start and goes best with a sit - Should get a nice run in transit and be running home strong not without each way claims)
6. JULIUS SUPREME (Good win last week but this horse looks to do his best work in front and the lead will not be there tonight - Does run fairly in the field and can fill the placings here)

Race 3.

1. HEEZA HUDSON (Loves to lead and does its best racing in front ; in fact very rarely gets beaten when it leads - Looks his race to win from the draw after a good win from back in the field last Saturday)
4. CAPTAIN BROMAC (Racing well and last start went down narrowly to Scram Jet - Small field helps and should run another big race - But has yet to prove it can do it tough to win where I think it may be in strife here)
2. FALCONS DRAGON (Should drop in behind the leader and purely for the novelties finish in the placings)
8. TOUCH ME TOES (Is knocking on the door - wide draw hurts but can run into the money with the right run - Novelty Chance)

Race 4.

7. OUR MACCARTHUR PARK (Would of won the Trotters Mile at Pinjarra if he had not of galloped - Is reasonably tough trotter and will run a big race here but we are betting on him trotting soundly)
6. COMPRESSOR (Racing well but every time these 2 met Our Maccarthur Park has come out best apart from the Pinjarra race - Very handy trotter but struggles to do it tough in his races. Still a big chance of winning and has to be respected)
10. SCUSI DOCTOR (Last start 3rd was decent and is proving to be a nice trotter - Awkward draw to overcome but is capable of finishing in the finish here just needs that touch of luck)
8. FULLY FOCUSSED (Trialled ok at Pinjarra - Will be at long odds - Throw it in for the place only)

Race 5.

1. BULLETS AND BLUFF (Devastating win when leading throughout at Bunbury just made easy work of Not Bad Johnnie first up and showed good gate speed from a wide barrier - From the pole looks the hardest to beat and is near on a special as it is very hard to beat when it leads - Only concern is a junior driver is aboard but Aiden De Campo looks to be a promising young driver and on a nice horse like this should just sit there and steer this horse to victory)
6. EMJAYEM GRAND (Racing really well without cracking it for a win - Did it tough last week when 2nd to Tex Bromac - Should end up doing it tough again but think he will find it hard to run down my top selection)
10. FULL PACKAGE (Drawn to get the perfect run - Decent effort at Pinjarra when he won and from the draw should be behind the leader and finish in the placings)
7. RIGATONI (Disappointed me last start when failed to run on after sitting 3 deep with a trail the last lap but was racing in good form previous to that and cant knock after one bad run)

Race 6.

6. EL PADRINO (Nice horse in QLD, comes to WA with good form and a big chance first up in this small but quality field - Go Well)
9. EASTWOOD FIRE (Led throughout last start when running home in 27 and change with a comfortable win over stablemate Little Big Sister - Wide draw to overcome is not bad for this horse as it will settle back and 2506m will suit perfectally and has to be the main danger to the new comer to the state)
8. LUMINOUS LOMBO (Forget last run after being caught wide and still finishing 6th - Ready to win and his runs have been good without winning - Has to overcome the wide draw but has a chance at Each Way Odds)
7. MIGHTY MCDANA (Ran home well when 3rd to Motu Treasure last friday but this is a decent step up in class - Should run on strong but this is this horses Acid Test in this bit stronger company)

Race 7.

8. LITTLE BIG SISTER (Going each way in this race as mile races always throw up a lot of speed and swoopers and no better mare swooper than this mare - Has been knocking on the door for a while and may get answered tonight will need a good run but her sprint is devastating and massive chance at each way odds)
9. IMA SPICEY LOMBO (Good 3rd to Has The Answers in the Celebrity Sprint in 1.53.0 - That run was very good when sitting in the breeze and this massive class drop she has every right to be fav - Against her is the draw but she is all class and will be favourite and rightly so - Hardest to beat)
12. ELENA S (Goes well with a sit - First run for a few weeks and will most likely be running home well but may need the run in this harder field)
5. NOWUSEEME (Been racing fairly in VIC for the past few months and comes back to WA in the Mares Mile from barrier 5 with a decent chance of finishing in the finish - Keep Safe)

Race 8.

6. HAS THE ANSWERS (Looked like the machine that we watched tear up races for 12 months straight last start - Looks to lead and win in this)
8. IMA ROCKET STAR (Floundered last start over the mile when they ran 1.53.0 off the front - This suits a little better but his pet distance is 2506m ; Very tough horse and will be there when the whips are cracking)
2. FEW GOOD MEN (Good win 2 starts ago in 1.56.6 in a heat of the Xmas Gift and Battled on when 5th in Xmas Gift final behind Motu Treasure after sitting in the breeze - Will be a massive jump in class but will not be disgraced)
5. MYSTA MAGICAL MACH (Great run in the Narrogin Cup after a disappointing run the start before at GP - Very enigmatic this time in and hard to guage where he's at)

Race 9.

8. OHOKA REBEL (Super run last week doing all the work and making numerous moves in the run when narrowly beaten by Speedy stablemate Alzona - Has to overcome 20m but think he is ready to win and small field suits this horse - Go Well)
3. PUHINUI RAINBOW (First up for a few weeks and form before its freshen up was very good especially when leading - Has the draw to lead and run a big race)
9. MONEY TWITCH (Racing well has to overcome 20m but small field suits and will figure in the finish)
4. JAY CEE ESS (Breakthrough season for this horse with it racing through it's classes - Led throughout 2 starts ago beating Country Change in 2.02. and will have to run some time to win tonight but is capable of doing so)

Race 10.

2. CLIFTON ROULETTE (Good win at Harvey leading throughout - Big step up in class but short course stand will help and if leads even more to smile about - Dont take short odds but keep him safe)
11. FAST PLAY (Goes best when leading has been racing well this time in with goods wins in Stands over Few Good Men and Dark Sky - has to overcome the handicap over the shorter distance but A.C.L is one of the best at getting them away)
9. HURRICANE ANVIL (Is knocking on the door for a win and has been racing stronger company - S.Reed jumps on and in this weaker lineup has a solid each way chance in this field)
7. AWESOME ACHIEVER (Not a big fan of this horse and first up think he may be able to run a decent race with the right run but will be further improved off what he does tonight)

Best Bet : R5. N1. BULLETS AND BLUFF
Best Each Way : R7. N8. LITTLE BIG SISTER
Best Roughie : R10. N9. Ryan Bell I think.

In the last race he called Mockingbird Road running a place but in a very tight three way go for second it actually finished fourth.
Race 1.

3. MILLWOOD MEG (Has to win really, but wouldn't be taking the short odds until you see some more positive form)
1. MISS PEGGY SUE (Went well when it led over the mile in 1.57.9 Should get a lovely run and a chance to run down Millwood Meg if it has the speed)
10. STYX BY MEE (Should get a nice run and if she gets a split will be running home strong)
8. LITTLE ANGEL (The blowout horse from an awkward draw but should go back and when the moves are made should get a nice run into it and run on strong - Keep Safe)

Race 2.

1. CLASSY CANDIDATE (This is its chance to win in town with good wins when leading and breezing at Northam - Very moderate lineup and from the draw gets its chance to wins its Metropolitan Maiden)
10. PACIFIC IDOL (Had every chance at Williams when it led being run down by Average Joe - Will be improved with this being its 2nd run back and should get a nice run - Keep Safe)
11. LUMINESCENCE (Nice draw for the mare who was a solid effort when 4th last week after sitting 3 wide the last 1000m - Should get a nice run and if it gets a solid crack at the leader could be the one at each way odds)
12. SMART PAY (Was racing well last time in but just had a little time off between runs and worries me a touch have to respect in this field though)

Race 3.

12. THE JAMAICAN (Racing well again and not much harder horses here but the draw is awkward - Early speed looks to increse this horses chance so Keep Safe)
8. SCRAM JET (Good run last start when 5th to The Jamaican after being caught wide early and going to back to last still to run on well - Has to overcome the awkward draw but if given the right run this looks his race to glo close)
9. SURFIN SUPERSTAR (Racing well and a win is not far away but 9 over a mile is always hard - If its gets a cart up has an each way chance)
11. LAST LEFT (Is the one at odds who should get home strong if the pace is solid - Racing well enough to win this just needs that perfect run which it recieves every now and again)

Race 4.

1. CROMAC JOHNNY (Sizzled home last in a 27.1 in the 4yo Classic last week from the draw he is a good leader and if he can hold the lead will be very hard to beat)
2. THE HUNTER (The way i read the race should be just off the pace and think he could be the blowout if they go too hard - Keep Safe)
4. MOTU TREASURE (Has a tendancy to pull in the distances greater than a mile and this could be his undoing here - Trialled well at Byford when he won in 1.59.4 - Will be short and the favourite for a reason but think theres a risk factor to him)
10. DARK SKY (Been racing well and is not far away from a win......But not here - Place chances best from the soft draw)

Race 5.

10. BETTOR STILL (Unbeaten in the state and has come back very strong this campaign has the ace draw off the back where it chooses who it wants to be on the back of - Should be midfield and pressure will be on from the start in this race - Think it has the ability to swoop home and win impressively)
6. JUMBO OPERATOR (Super run when chasing Mon Gee in 1.55.2 last start - Always well spaced run with this horse and hes all class - Cons are that his gate speed is not brilliant and tractability around GP not the greatest but should work to the breeze and whoever is to pass him looks the winner)
1. FEW GOOD MEN (Should lead and run a decent race for R.Oliveri/C.Lewis combination which has been deadly in the past season - Win at Pinj when leading was OK in decent time but didnt really excite that much - But has to be respected)
3. ARTORIUS (Will be just off them awaiting too attack and possesses that good sprint which we have only seen a few times and really needs the ace run)

Race 6.

3. MIGHTY MCDANA (Good win last week and the start before was a super run over the 1700m in 1.55.2 running 4th to Mon Gee - Super form since arriving and should go very close here probably even find the front)
7. JAY CEE ESS (Super win in trials at Byford and is a very fast horse - Draw is not favourable but has the ability to go close)
1. SHOAB (Should get the ace run and figure in the placings as he did from another ace run behind Mon Gee)
5. OHOKA GEORGIA (Good mile record and has to be considered a chance to qualify in this - Think he may struggle to win this race though)

Race 7.

4. OUR MALABAR (This horse is very classy and comes to WA to defend his crown in this race and for the chance to take home a few G1's over the Summer - Should get a lovely run just off the pace and run home strongly - Go Well)
1. ALZONA (Has been the declared leader - Very speedy horse and should lead for a long way - Alot of pressure in the race is expected so will need to run some very fast quarters - Last Run was super - Go Well)
9. PRECIOUS DYLAN (First up from a spell over the mile from barrier 9 will be tough - But this is one of the fastest horses in Australasia and can wheel off a 54 half in the twinkling of an eye if he gets the right run - Beware the devastating speed of Precious Dylan)
2. TALK TO ME COURAGE (Just off the speed early and will be running home well - 2nd last year in this race and has been racing well this time in without winning)

Race 8.

1. EASTWOOD FIRE (Should lead and Go very close - Very classy horse who is no stranger to bad luck but from barrier 1 you think he should be able to steer clear of that and win this)
2. LITTLE BIG SISTER (Only chance in the race to beat the 1 i think - Should be behind the leader and if it gets daylight this mare has an amazing turn of foot and could get up - Keep Safe and will be my bet Each Way All day)
3. PABLITO (Is nearing a win very unlucky last start being held up - Looks like it will end up outside the leader and should run a good race but others look a little stronger)
5. TOUCH ME TOES (Has a place chance from the draw - But only place best)

Race 9.

10. OHOKA REBEL (First up from a spell and this looks its race - Should go very close even off the 20m handicap very talented horse and Is very tough - Go Well)
6. HURRICANE ANVIL (Good run last start when 2nd to Alzona in very quick time - Should run another big race and is nearing a win)
12. MONEY TWITCH (Tiring 9th last start has to overcome the backmark of 30m but is more than capable dont dissmiss - Is racing really well)
3. MAXIMUM DEMAND (Is racing well in the country comes to the city in a good field and is a blowout if it gets the right run but place chances best in the most likely case of racing)

Race 10.

5. BLISSFUL BOY (Should go very close to winning but few chance outside of it in the small field)
2. PARAMEDIC (With a safe beginning has a solid chance of winning but your betting on a safe beginning which hasnt been its best characteristic)
4. FALCON ELECT (Should run into the placings - Winning chance with the right run)
3. YOUNG DA VINCI (Place chance - Has been racing well)

Best Bet : R8. N1. EASTWOOD FIRE
Each Way : R2. N11. LUMINESCENCE
Roughie : R4. N11. LAST LEFT
Quaddie
1L : 1,2,4
2L : 1,6,10
3L : 3,7
4L : 1,2,3,4,7,9

Race 1.

1. SHAMROCK TANGO (Caught wide pretty much the journey last start and still ran on into 3rd - Good enough for this class, Gate Speed is an unknown but with the new start it should be able to hold up and go close)
2. BUNKER BAY (Ran home strong last start at Bunbury when 5th to Cols Fantasy, has the nice draw to lob handy and run home strong into the placings)
8. BOUVARD FOLLY (Did it tough outside Governor Arnie last start and battled on well to run 4th - Has to overcome the wide barrier which looks tough but has an each way chance on its last run)
12. NO QUICK FIX (Ran home well behind Powerful Question at Harvey last start in weak field - This not much stronger but this horses biggest problem is it pulls hard in its races and hard to recommend off the back line)

Race 2.

12. ARTEMIS BELLE (Super win last start, 1.57.7 was 3 wide for the early part before blowing away the opposition very good run from a classy filly - This doesnt look much harder and should win again here)
5. MASTER DAMON (This horse has big wraps as a 2yo but never made a big impact on the ranks - Comes back at 3yo with its trial form average and in this race it looks to be fighting out the placing with a few other chances)
7. LUCKY DREW (Is racing well with a good win 2 starts ago beating Funzova - did it tough in the breeze when 7th behind Rebecca Amy at Bunbury - Has to overcome ordinary draw but should on well and earn in this)
8. IMALI (Won at 60/1 at Pinjarra and previous was okay - Has shown ability and should continue its decent form with a solid effort here but cant recommend it to win again Artemis Belle)

Race 3.

2. MOCKINGBIRD ROAD (This horses form is average and nothing flash - but this isnt an overally strong field should get into a good spot, maybe even lead and run a big race - Each Way Bet in this)
8. JUSTLIKELINDT (Looks the hardest to beat with an impressive win at Pinjarra running over the top of Riverdale Boy and Dracovolans - Has to overcome the wide draw but is more than capable and will appreciate the small field again)
3. DANNY FISHER (Not a fan of this horse, its very hot and cold and is hard to follow - This distance will suit and has a good chance as it possesses decent gate speed and may be able to lead - Keep Safe)
4. HEAINTHEAVY (Is always there abouts and is a good chance off a soft trip - Will be each way odds - One for the novelties)

Race 4.

9. LICORICE DEE (Motored home last start at GP to run 4th behind Liquid Radar after the bird had flown - Has the same barrier and moderate field will help this horse who is sure to be flashing home strongly again - Go Well)
8. ADDA BILLABONG (Is racing well enough to be a good chance in this field - Form has been reasonable - It has to overcome the wide draw but will be running on well - Hard to tip with confidence for obvious reasons but is an each way chance in this)
5. SPECIAL DIVA (Disappointing last start but run before that was solid behind 3 very nice mares of the names Ella Sue, Elite Angel and Smile With Me - Gets a nice draw with a claim onboard and should run a big race)
3. UPCLASS GIRL (First up 3rd was fair when led up and just out muscled by Oak Grove - Should get a nice run and is one of several winning chances in this even race)

Race 5.

9. JET DEE (Impressive win last start and began well from the stand, Doesn't get penalized with the handicaps and looks the won to beat here - This is a much more moderate field compared to its last run and think it will be nearly a good thing if the right Jet Dee shows up)
7. ELECTRIFICATION (The very lackadaisical Electrification has alot of ability but is a tad sluggish at times - Good win at Pinjarra and shows that it can put in the good runs - Got away from the stand well in its only other standing start run - Should run in the first 3)
8. LORD ARTOIS (Was held up until late last run but when the run came only battled away behind Jet Dee - Steps well from the stand from its NZ Form but think it will battling away for the places in this race)
1. ARMBRO NINA (Purely for the novelties - Last win was in Feb 07' so she rarely wins races but steps like a bullet and is a frequent placegetter in stands - Should land in a handy spot and run well - Good 3rd behind Smooth Shift at GP on Friday)

Race 6.

3. FAST PLAY (Good win last start leading throughout defeating Few Good Men in a stand - Has good manners at the stand and should find the front here and be very hard to beat - Go Well)
9. ALL COURAGE (Switches to the stand for the first time and won a stand trial at Pinjarra defeating Pacific Idol - Very talented horse has to overcome the 20m and betting on a safe beginning in its first stand but will go well)
2. ARGENT TREASURE (On Form last time in you would say he'd be very hard to beat and the small field would suit but his form has been average in trials with less than impressive wins and average runs - Lewis has jumped off and think he should just be watched here - Natural ability will see him in the finish but i wouldnt be backing him just yet)
4. DAV ED ASH (Dropped out badly last start and has made the switch to the stands again and is not the best horse away from a stand - Small field will help it settle and run on - Novelty Chance is best in this I think)

Race 7.

6. SMOOTH JASPER (This horses runs have been very good without winning made good ground from the back of the field when Galveron ran home in 56 and change last friday and this looks to be a good race for him - Each Way all day - Go Well)
12. ROKEWOOD (Dropped Out beaten last start when it finished last behind Black Pontiac at Pinjarra - Form previous to that run was very good win back to back wins over the 2500m - K.Harper jumps aboard with his claim and will run a much forward race here)
8. MATAI DENNY (Has improved with every run since coming to the state - Good win over the 2506m last start at GP - Has to overcome wide draw and should run a decent race again)
4. CONSTANT ADDICTION (Has been thereabouts in its past few runs and has a novelty chance in this but too much depth and class around it for this horse)

Race 8.

7. OHOKA SAMSON (Looks the goods here 3rd up from a spell with last 2 starts running 2nd's and really is a classy horse in an average field - Should win)
8. LIQUID RADAR (Good win first up - But has been a bit of a wooly woofter in the past and last start beat an average lineup in average time - Should run 2nd)
3. RINZETSU (Form as of late has been ordinary but looking further back was running good races in stands in the city - This is a bad field apart from the first 2 tips and this horse should find the lead and could run a cheeky race at odds - One for the novelties)
4. HARRYS A FAKE (Was a winner 4 starts ago and should be a chance to earn in this - little confidence on this horse though)

Best Bet : R6. N2. FAST PLAY
Best Each Way : R4. N5.
Race 1.

9. BLACK PONTIAC (Has been nothing but a model of consistancy since coming to WA, Good win at Pinjarra 2 starts when leading and Great run behind Bettor Still at Pinjarra when they ran home in 55 and change. Has to overcome wide gate but is classy and should go close)
5. GATHERING GEARS (Luckless 4th last start, Should push forward into a handy spot tonight and will be running home strong - Good each way chance in this)
1. TOO BAD (Ran home well when 2nd to Rigatoni, Has the ace draw again has the speed to lead and run a cheeky race)
10. CONSTANT ADDICTION (Been thereabouts in its runs and should run on well off the soft trip, One for the novelties)

Race 2.

2. THE JAMAICAN (Will improve off its last run, Will have to do it tough tonight but think it is strong enough to run a much improved race in this)
7. CONTE CENTOVALLI (Been racing very consistant and this field is not overally strong - Been racing some nice horses and earning - Small field suits has a big chance now in the claiming ranks - Keep Safe)
8. SCRAM JET (Has been racing alot stronger company but is a horse who's goes best off a soft trip with his sit/sprint ability - Will be close to favourite but hard to tip one with Tricky on with confidence since his return)
1. ZABRINSKI (Won well when it led at Pinjarra all the way - Got out late to run on into 4th last start - Has the perfect draw if it holds up there will be pressure and not sure if he will be able to take it all and give a kick on the run to the line - Wont be far away though in a wide open race)

Race 3.

4. BADBOY NITRO (Super run last start when did it tough to run 2nd to In The Force, should be able to work to the breeze here and run a big race again - Go Close)
3. CAPTAIN BROMAC (Great run last start when swooped home to win impressively - Is racing well with A.McCarthy onboard and should get a lovely run again this week - Is the main danger to my top pick as I expect it to be right on the back of it)
8. SINGAPORE JOHNNY (Ran home well last start from last to just miss out on victory - Has to overcome wide draw again but will be further improved on its last run. Think it may be running home well again and putting the writing on the wall for next start)
1. TOUCH ME TOES (Looks the likely leader and looks like there will be pressure - Went to the line looking for a run last start so they will likely want to lead and make sure they get every chance - Think it will cop too much pressure in this)

Race 4.

2. GALVERON (Has been screaming out for a draw since it came to the state, got one on Tuesday and won accordingly - Gets a good draw again in a mediocre Pathway race and looks the goods to lead and win)
11. MACHINE GUN BONNIE (Following through the 2 and form has been good this campaign - Expect a forward improvement on its last few run and should be running on strong off a soft trip)
12. SMOOTH JASPER (Has been racing really well without cracking it for a win - Awkward draw but should be running home strong again - Theres a win just around the corner for this bloke)
5. ZANARDI (Appeared disappointing last start when under the pump along way from home but they did run home in 55 and change in that race - Still looks a likely improver here but needs just abit better form to suggest it a winning chance in this)

Race 5.

8. HAS THE ANSWERS (Looking for his first win in a while - Super 2nd to Im Themightyquinn in the Bunbury Cup last saturday - With a safe beginning he should be able to find the front with his blistering gate speed and just have to much high speed for his rivals in this over the 2100m)
7. IMA ROCKET STAR (Appears to be more of the staying type of horse - Forget his last 2 runs slow away last start never got into it - The start before he was put 4 deep at the 800 - Expect a massive run from this horse who looks the main danger to the top pick - Just think Has The Answers will have to much high speed for this horse on this occassion)
2. MYSTA MAGICAL MACH (Is starting to get back to something of his best with a good 3rd behind Im Themightyquinn in the Bunbury Cup from the good draw he should run in the money)
1. PABLITO (Looks the likely leader early before Has The Answers zips across - Will be the fresh legs and should run on into the money from the draw)

Race 6.

10. DASHER VC (Has excelled this campaign to be a dominating force in the 4yo Ranks - this is his acid test, He cannot lead and therefore has to come around alot of runners - I think hes good enough but there is an element of risk to backing this favourite)
1. WHY LIVE DANGEROUSLY (Ran on well to finish 2nd to Dasher VC last start in the Nugget goes from barrier 9 to barrier 1 in 7 days and has the speed to lead - Whether or not he cops alot of pressure will decide how high he places - Gary Hall Snr didnt appear overally confident of its winning chances but thinks he will earn)
7. DAVID HERCULES (Ran on super last start when they ran the last qtr in 27 - Has to overcome a wide gate and been consistant this campaign without winning - Could be a good each way bet just needs the right run and can win)
4. INDOMITABLE SAAB (Racing really well and not a bad draw just needs to get into the 2 wide line - Is a winning chance with the right run as the barrier draw has made this a very interesting race - Would love to see this horse win a big one but will need luck)

Race 7.

2. FAST TURNOVER (Beaten on his merits last start but had come off some hard runs so looked a little flat - Had a freshen up and looks very hard to beat in this - If he runs to his ability I think he may be too strong here)
9. SMOOTH SHIFT (Was too strong for Fast Turnover last start and nothing has changed here with handicaps - Looks the main danger to the top pick - Last start was just too far back when they ran hard for the last 1200m)
4. MAXIMUM DEMAND (Ran home strong when 4th to Free The Man last week - Impressive 4th to Money Twitch at Pinjarra when ran home strong with a quick last half - Good standing start horse and at the each way odds isnt a silly bet - Just needs to come off a soft trip)
10. WAIKAWA BAY (Super run last start first up from a spell and will be further improved here - Will run home well but there will be a race for him soon)

Race 8.

8. ALZONA (Looks to be his race - Has been awaiting a drop down in class and there are no Im Themightyquinn's out there in this - Gets away from the stand well and should be the hardest to beat in this)
10. MONEY TWITCH (Great win at Pinjarra is beginning alot better from the stand and is definitely the main danger to Alzona - Start will be all important)
5. SMART CULLEN (Isn't the most reliable stand horse but has been in great form running home strong in every race - With the right sort of run can run in the money again)
3. EMJAYEM GRAND (Appears to be a horse who is not great over the 2500m - Runs over the 2100m have been very good but just appears to struggle over the distance - Not a bad stand horse but think it will be place chance in this race)

Race 9.

9. MIGHTY MCDANA (Superb run behind Mon Gee last start after doing it tough in the breeze - 2506m will suit from the wide allowing time to settle and make a tactical strike on the front runners - Go Well)
6. BARACHIAS (Ran home well when 2nd to Hirli Birli Lombo last start - Think his best chance in this is too go forward and then on can run a big race - Is not far away from a win and wouldnt suprise if he got up in this)
12. ASTROLABE STORM (Disappointing first up at Bunbury but form last campaign was solid and was running home strong - Expect forward improvement from the old timer - 2506m will suit him perfectally also)
5. BARNETTS SECRET (Has really hit a purple patch as of late - Should press forward and be running on well again - Not far off a win)

Race 10.

1. AFTER DUSK (Form last campaign was solid enough for it to win here - Pretty average field and over the mile I think this mare can lead and run a cheeky race at each way odds)
10. MISS PEGGY SUE (Should get a soft run behind leader if it wants to be there - Galloped last start so forget that run - Is always there about and A.C.L driving this one ahead of Kamwood Holmes produces a little more confidence on this horse)
9. KAMWOOD HOLMES (Was a solid effort last start when 7th to Ohoka Georgia - Much weaker here but 9 over a mile is my number 1 hate - Is the class in the field but will be a risk if too short in the market)
7. LUMINESCENCE (Produced a super run when 3 deep the journey over the mile at Bunbury a few starts back and if she was to reproduce that run could be the danger in this so keep safe at each way odds)

Best Bet : R4. N2. GALVERON
Best Each Way : R10. N1. AFTER DUSK
Best Roughie : R7. N4. MAXIMUM DEMAND
Quaddie
1L : 2
2L : 7,8
3L : 1,2,4,7,9,10
4L : 2,4,9
$36 FOR FULL UNIT

Good Luck, Good Punting

It's always a contentious issue as it is by invitation of the club.
It didn't seem to me as though there was an enormous plunge on the winner. Cmon Harry was always favourite or second favourite in the market along with Boogies Barnet. But then it isn't Ashlee's style to hand up in a race, especially after gaining a lead without doing much work. And it can be strongly argued that BB would have won if she held the lead.
If she was up to no good I hope she got a good sling; 6 weeks is a long time without a pay cheque.

http://www.harnesslink.com/www/Article.cgi?ID=85492
